VPNs and TOR: Anonymity on MESO-Rx

For those who want to take there security up a notch above VPN, and TOR

Tails and Whonix!!!!! Best operating systems

https://tails.boum.org/

https://www.whonix.org/wiki/Main_Page

If you decide to go with these research them more. Download them over VPN + TOR so no one knows your downloading them!

Also you should be running a VPN if your connecting to TOR IMO. It will tell your internet provider that your using a VPN which is not a big deal. If you use just TOR your internet provider will see your using TOR. Its not a HUGE problem but a VPN looks better then TOR.

If you would like me to copy and paste exactly how to get these running let me know.

Also everyone should be using PGP encryption. Especially while sending your addresses to your supplier or any sensitive data that you do not want seen.

It will help you from knowing who is who. Especially if someone gets compromised. You can sign messages like i did below to make sure its really that person. My public key is below.

Email everyone should be using a TOR based email client. Favorite is

Security is important, learning it takes time but worth it.

I just just bought a month of WiTopia.net which as been around for quite a while, and they do not keep logs. I've been very happy and have been using the VPN on my Mac, my iPad and on my iPhone. I have read very positive reviews of Witopia in MacWorld. Anyone using this VPN?

Great post. I'd been browsing this forum and other similar websites through my regular IP address for a while, but this thread persuaded me to learn more to protect myself. I am now using my normal browser and IP on my Windows machine only for "safe" browsing, while I do all "sensitive" browsing through a virtual machine (placed in a TrueCrypt container... probably unnecessary :)) running Linux. I have the Linux VM set up to connect automatically to my VPN, and I have the firewall set up so that the Linux VM cannot connect to the Internet without the VPN protection (protecting against DNS leaks, dropped VPN connections, etc.).

This is a good solution for anyone who would like to completely separate their normal Internet habits (staying logged into Google and Facebook accounts, etc., creating all sorts of tracking issues...) from sensitive stuff. I like that my normal activities and my MESO-type activities now have completely different IP addresses, different browser fingerprints, etc. I hadn't looked into virtual machines in a while, but with modern computing power, having your "sensitive" browser running in a Linux VM (connected to a VPN) causes no slowdown at all.

Well these are all great VPNs Millard. I wrote a Review on nVPN.net!

Confirmed 100% Logless, DDoS proof, and has a MASSIVE amount of servers to choose from. Not gonna say too much, but there is a very particular reason why I trust this site. ExpressVPN is also not bad, and I used to like Kryptnet before I found out some information I didn't like, and the price's are way above what they should be.

If you are wondering why you haven't heard of this one, well it's a little UG, but if anyone knows what forum it's talked about on, there's a big article on there.

I'm using Super VPN for quite some time now. They offer good encryption and my ISP could not see me. It used to be very hard to find good service, changed them a lot. Now I'm happy with Super VPN and would recommend to all of you.
