Filtering finished oils

Meanwhile people use cotton balls to filter and inject heroin.

Heroin users were the original "bubble boys", with syringe filters available at needle exchanges around the world for the last decade. (some even offer 5 sizes depending on what drug and filler you've got, down to .22um)

AAS users are the filthy drug addicts by comparison.

Haha. Cig filter just the pre-pre filter. Cig filter to 0.65 to 0.2 um for the "win".

Thanks for sharing!

Just my opinion but these vials on Amazon are trash. I bought a box of them (they come individually wrapped in twos) for filtering "semi-finished" oils into. For practice (I know...) I filtered one of my pharma vials into one of them and now I have multiple floaters in the oil! There were no visible floaters in the pharma vial + the vial was filtered at .22um. The floaters could have only already been in the vial. Caveat emptor on this brand of cheap vials.

I will toss them and order the recommended Ultra Spec vials. Lesson learned.
I’ve used 4 of these now to filter both GA and QSC oils. No floaters found in any of them, but it seems like the stoppers don’t seal very well. One of the the vials, when I draw in oil I get a steady stream of bubbles, which I’ve only seen with other vials in the past if I forget to push a little air in first.

Idk - does "sterile" necessarily mean no foreign material? Maybe they're not exclusive. If the chinese guy doing the steam sterilization had a dandruff problem and stuck his face in the steam the dandruff could theoretically be sterile? Maybe its nothing...
No absolutely a sterile vial could still have some particulate inside it. Although I'm pretty sure an operation the size of ks-tek has all automated factory line.

But I did once receive a ks-tek vial missing a stopper.

Would these be acceptable for filtering about 5ml at a time? I know they need to be sterile and ptfe, but do they also need to be “hydrophobic”
