Filtering finished oils

Would these be acceptable for filtering about 5ml at a time? I know they need to be sterile and ptfe, but do they also need to be “hydrophobic
Looks ok to me, but 13mm will slow things down, 25mm would be preferable, with just slightly more oil lost to the filter.
do they need to be hydrophobic ?

It doesn't matter for oils. Either hydrophobic or hydrophilic will work.

Peptides must be hydrophilic(PES membrane only).
Dude are you for real? Putting a hydrophilic filter through some oil is going to cause a blowout. Practice some common sense and harm reduction and only use hydrophobic filters with oils.

Pretty sure it's constant ongoing battle on what to use.

Have used all of hydrophilic. No issues at all

ive used both , notice the difference in filter type,, ;) up to 40 ml of oil per filter at a time (probably could go higher) no flow problems from either ,,, View attachment 314983

I think, but I'm not certain, only PTFE hydrophilic filters work with oils, other hydrophilic filters are oleophobic, not allowing oil to pass.

PTFE filters start out hydrophobic, some treatment makes them hydrophilic, and then they're able to filter water and oils becoming "universal".
