Let's say I have a few 50ml sterile vials, and some 200mg/ml primo that needs "watering down" and filtering, since it's from a Chinese supplier and probably wasn't filtered very well. My thinking is to get some refined GSO, PTFE 0.22um 33mm syringe filters, and filter the primo and then the GSO into the vial. It will then mix in there.
My stupid question now... The syringe filters I've seen only have a lock on the side of the syringe, how am I then attaching a needle to get the oil into the vial? I've seen setups with caulking guns and plastic tubes, but wondering what the attachment is called for attaching the needle to the tube? Unless I don't need a tube at all, and it's one of those attachments that doesn't have a lock.
Could I use a spike filter in the vial, stick the end of the filter directly in there? I've never seen a spike filter with my own eyes, so this may be even more stupid. However earlier in the thread I saw talk of how easy it is to get oil out of a vial with a spike filter, so wondering if the same is true to get the oil into the vial. That then negates the need for a caulking gun, I would assume.
