10 weeks post show bloodwork

Hello,

I've just received my bloodwork results that I did 10 weeks after my first bodybuilding show. I have two concerning values.

My ALT is at 101 U/L (normal is 0-55)
My TSH is at 5,83 mU/L (normal is 0,35-4,94)

For my ALT, I will be taking a natural liver supplement live Liver by HD Muscle or by Revive. I don't know if anyone has any suggestions for this? I have heard injectable L-Carnitine can help too. If not, I'll let my liver hopefully heal itself lol.

For my TSH, both my parents are on prescribes synthroid. I'm not too suprised that my TSH is not too great. I'm thinking about starting a low dose T4 like 25mcg daily and do some other bloodwork in the future. Any recommendations here?

I'm a 25 year old female for anyone asking.

I recommend starting TUDCA. I'm not sure if that natural liver supplement contains it. If it does, good.

TSH is slightly high and your thyroid maybe slightly underactive. I would talk to a doc about that vs. self medicating T4. It may not really be underactive enough to warrant medication.

Thanks for the feedback. I booked a private doctor tomorrow to go through my results with a professional. Definitely a better idea than self-medicating lol

Try measuring ALT again, but this time don't workout for 1 week. Training increases AST and ALT. If GGT is in range, your liver is ok.

TSH is probably due to low T4 and now body is trying to recomp.

Measure again TSH, T3 and T4 in 3 months time, take blood at the same time as you did last time.

Do you have pre contest prep blood results to compare too?

Especially TSH?

I wouldn't start medicating thyroid if pre bloods have been fine. TSH would most likely revert back to normal in this case.
