1g Deca Only Experiment

Here, this is beginning of log till now: 223 vs 246...

the pics 10 days apart aren't going to show TOO Much difference, aside from some fullness... but here you can certainly see... 1640637053777.png

Also, keep in mind, I'm on Deca week 8, and I just started the bulk diet with coach I think Dec 10th... so its been about 17 days actually eating above maintenance. To be honest, thank god this guy reached out to me, otherwise ,I would have blasted a gram of Deca eating at maintenance and probably saw zero gains lol.

So far, my wife tells me I'm like a giant fridge walking around, everything is fuller and everything fits much tighter; people at the gym have also noticed it. So Idk if these pics are going to translate much, unless I do way more poses and when I'm pumped? These pics are taken in the AM with no food in me and no pump.

I will also say, I don't think HUGE changes will happen with my back and chest, as they are already big; I think the biggest changes will be legs, calves, and arms, as they need the most improvement...but we'll see... we are JUST getting started with everything in place, and will be doing this until MARCH, so we have three solid months of bulking calories.
 
March? Cool. Some time to gain. It's a little silly to be expecting gains other than water, eleven days in. You already look solid. You look like about 190 on stage, so if you can add some real pounds of muscle between now and March, that is all good weight that will still be there after your cut. Are you going to cut after or do something else?

Yes, 100% going to do a cut, under his guidance as well, and I'll start a new log for that one.

You'll love this...

In my opinion, it takes a big weight chance, to notice someone has grown. I can't tell the difference. The different shades of color make it harder to detect also. You look like a big SOB, don't get me wrong

Whats everyone else think?

Hard to sleep
Having a bit of acid reflex at night where I wake up and want to throw up.

Apparently, the Anadrol is the culprit, but I also think I'm eating WAY too much food, literally force feeding amounts that I don't think my body "deserves" yet. I maintained 230lbs off 3000 calories, and we jumped to almost a 2k surplus and adjusted downward from there... We were at 4250, and still hard to eat.

Coach and I spoke about this and further adjusted the calories and are going to assess results in the next few days.

If anything, it's the Anadrol, since these issues recently started after taking it for nearly 10 days. I don't want to drop it since I bought so much lol, but if my diet adjustments don't fix this, then I may have to.

Measurements would be a lot more illustrative for your purposes

It’s the oral, 4250 is not a lot of food. It may be a lot, relatively speaking. However, it isn’t a lot of food for your size. I LIMIT myself to roughly the same number at roughly the same size(although leaner), with 350-400g protein/day.

He said he jumped to 2,000kcal above maintenance. You don't think the GH/slin adds 2,000kcal to his dietary needs do you?

Note that if you're considerably leaner (and therefore much more LBM) there is significant metabolic differences just due to skeletal muscle metabolism, not to mind his BMR and NEAT.

Probably, because at first it was much easier, but also I noticed a loss of appetite after my Intra and PWO shakes as well. I'd come home and not want to eat for 2.5 hours. Which in turn would keep me up longer at night to down these meals.

Also, I feel I shouldn't be jumping to 1000+ surpluses, and I should work up to them as I grow. A possible easy fix would be to add juices, but I don't think sugary drinks would help build quality tissue. I could pour more EVO on food, but I rather have higher carbs and lower fats.

Coach is a super-high protein guy, too, but I want my carbs to be higher. Protein is 1g per lb, while carbs are much higher.

He said he was maintaining at 3000kcals, I think the 2000 is an overstatement. The GH/slin certainly wouldn’t support that, no. I’m on 5iu/day and 2g metformin, and I quite literally can’t get fat, even eating about 1 shitty meal a day with my family.

First week was insane food; obviously he was trying to see what I could get away with, but I couldn't handle it. Every coach has to play with the macros and calories, which will be different for each client. I don't think everyone needs 4k-5k calories to bulk. I don't have a fast metabolism, but I do think have an efficient one where I extract the nutrients I need better than most. In other words, I can grow on less that most would need. Again, I was maintaining 230lbs at ~18% bf just on ~3000 cals. I know guys 40lbs lighter than me who eat 4k calories just to maintain lol, and they aren't fat whales like I am either.

I ramp up a little at a time, starting at +300, id rather err on the side of caution and not put on too much fat. I’ve done the 24 week cuts before and I’m not doing it again. My last cut was 7 weeks. Go up in increments of 250. I know you have a coach, just offering my non professional advice based on nearly 3 decades of fucking around.

We were close to probably 4700 or so, which is why we lowered to 4250, and now we have to lower it even more, just above 3600, which should be fine.

I would usually push back when I disagree, but I wanted to also see what I could handle lol. But he is very good on feedback and is open-minded. He is younger than us both, but after sending him a voicemail last night telling him what was going on, he understood and agreed to make changes. He isn't like LISTEN TO ME BITCH I KNOW EVERYTHING, like some are. lol.

The coaching is free which is why I took it; it's an experiment for both of us, in a way: He wants to see what he can do with someone bulking without test, and I want to see what I can do with a coach.

Possibly, I am definitely running under the assumption that he's got his maintenance and calorie contents figured out. True with the rhGH, can definitely cheat quite a bit and still get lean.
 
I will say, if at 3600 my stomach is fucked, I'll have to drop the anadrol, because I'm sure we all agree, the food is more anabolic than the drol...and if that happens, well then, its back to "deca only" lol. But I hope it doesn't, because I bought a fuck-ton of drol, enough to last 120 days at 50mg per day.
