1st Var Cycle

Depends on you goals. Are you trying to gain muscle? If so you could probably stand to bump calories up some. On my first var cycle I started at about 2000 a day but got up to 2500 by the end of my cycle.

Essentially, I would love to swap out 5lbs of fat for muscle. So, in short, I want to do BOTH! :-)
Maybe that's not possible on a var cycle, so if I just put on muscle, that's fine too... I'm almost wrapping up week 3, and will send an update in a couple of days.

tomorrow will mark Week 1 of my var cycle. I'm doing 5mg p/day (2.5 AM / 2.5 PM split). A few things to note:

> Felt a slight increase in energy levels. This allowed me to push through workouts and be disciplined on the diet. Good news there.

> Got my period again, mid-way through my menstrual cycle. I read that periods getting messed up is normal, but should I be concerned that it happened so soon after starting var (4 days, to be exact)

> Woke up with a eye-stye this AM. I can't even remember last time I had one, if ever, so I'm wondering if this is var related. I read that stress & hormone shifts could cause styes (as well as a bacterial infection, but i'm ruling that out for now), so I'm going to assume it has something to do with the var.

Any thoughts from the group here? Is this normal or should I be concerned? Feedback is welcome!

I'm sorry to hear that. Is that something to be concerned about? Or is that just part of the process and everything will normalize after your cycle is over?
 
Hello! Week 3 update here:

I finished week 3 taking 5mg var per day.
I had a few health annoyances like a stye and caught my husband's cold, so wanted to get through those before upping the dose.

Yesterday, I increased dosage to 7.5mg per day (or as close to that as I can measure...)
Started noticing an arm pump during my workout today. It was slight, but noticeable, and felt good!
I'll stay at 7.5mg this week, and if I feel fine, will up it to 10mg on week 5.

I pushed out my show to June, so that I can take full advantage of this cycle, and then still have 4 weeks to lean out.

So far, var has definitely provided me with the energy necessary to push on my cardio and lift sessions, as well as stick to my diet 100%.
It feels so nice to have stamina! Is that what it feels like when you're in your 20s? lol!

That's it so far. No sides yet. Skin, lady parts, and voice are all normal.

My voice and lady parts did not change at 10mg. I only had hot flashes. I will be miserable during menopause! Haha! You may gain more extreme pumps at 10mg. My shoulders were the worst! Yikes! I know some women take taurine for that.

I just started 10mg yesterday. I'm actually looking forward to some pumps! Started noticing on my arms, but would be great to feel it on the shoulders and glutes as well.

I am massively hungry these days. Still eating a 1500 kcal super clean diet, but it is a struggle to stay on point.
My weight has stayed consistent at 137lbs, but I know i'm stronger, so while the scale hasn't really moved, I know my body composition is changing.
I do believe I'm retaining some water, but nothing crazy. I'm eating a lot of asparagus to try to offset that! lol

Plan is to stay at this dosage for 3-4 weeks, then taper off in the last week, for a total of 10 weeks. So I'm pretty much half-way through.

How is the post-cycle treating you these days?

Really well! I was so hungry during my cycle! I’ve been doing fasted cardio 6 days a week. I’m noticing some really great changes with that! I was so crabby my last 2 weeks of my cycle, it’s been enjoyable to get back on an even level.

yes! I'm also doing fasted cardio 6x per week. Do you take any pre-workouts or ECA stack? Are you less hungry now that the cycle is over? Being hungry like this SUX. I want to EAT. ALL. THE. FOOD!!!

On the bright side, I hit a PB on squats today: did 4 reps at 170lbs! For the longest time, I just could not get past 150lbs, so that was just awesome! I wonder how far I can go in the next 4 weeks...:rolleyes:
 
You should see a big increase! I was stuck at 155 for squat and now I PRd at 225. You just gotta push and keep boosting. Bench I made KILLER gains. I was at 95 and hit 135.

I am actually loving the cardio now. I’m up to 6x per week. I do it in the morning before work and then lift at night then just walk while my husband does his cardio. It’s gives me a ton of energy for the day!

Completed 5 weeks of my var cycle today.

Increased the dosage to 10mg p day, and now I can certainly tell the difference.
Lifting is strong and hitting PB's every time. It's an amazing feeling, especially given I've been stuck at the same weight for MONTHS in certain exercises.

Doing 1hr of fasted cardio 6x per week. That shit never gets easy!

As soon as I bumped up the dosage, I got a couple tiny pimples and my lady-bits swelled up some.

Otherwise feeling fine. I'm VERY hungry. I fucking dream about food... I am literally counting the days to my burger and fries this weekend. Just 5 days to go... LOL

Will run at the current dosage until the end of the month, then taper back down to 5mg/day for the last week for a total of 10 weeks.

If a female used clen, t3, and var, while eating a clean diet at a deficit and did fasted cardio as well as train hard, what exactly should be the outcome? First time using. Asking for a friend

[emoji51] I’ve actually never run clen or t3 either. Considered clen but opted for ECA stack and fasted cardio instead. Clean eating at a deficit, lost 9lbs in 4 weeks. Good luck though. I know some of the other ladies here may be able to offer more.

It primarily comes down to how much of a deficit you're in.

Clen/T3 stacked may get to you around a 11% increase in metabolic rate.

Factor in the calorie deficit, plus the additional deficit created by morning cardio, and you'll be able to give yourself an idea of how much weight loss to expect.

As far as "fasted cardio", unless you're using GH or a supplement like yohimbine, you don't need to be fasted to see results from doing cardio in the morning.. there is no added benefit to being fasted versus fed. Yohimbine and/or GH are better used in a fasted state though, yohimbine's effects actually come to a halt in the presence of insulin.

Agreed! It’s preference! I love doing cardio asap in the morning. I get a lot of natural energy off of it. I do not use preworkout at all. My body doesn’t handle it well. I am 100%natural right now, and have lost 4lbs in a week
