21 year old male Low Libido, Hormonal imbalances? Bloodwork

Hi Guys

I'm new here and have a problem that's been bothering me for quite a while.

Background Info:

Since I've started studying this fall, I gave up competitive Rowing.

Now I'm concentrating more on bodybuilding and weighttraining.

Height: 6.2
Weight: 170
Bodyfat: ~11-12%

The actual problem:

For quite a while now I have noticed that my libido is low to very low. I've had months were I almost never had morning wood or the desire to masturbate. I've always accounted this to my very demanding training regimen in rowing (lightweight) and thought my body is prioritizing it's energy...

But now since I'm not training that heavily anymore and had a long training break in the summer, I thought my libido would come back significantly. But this didn't happen. I've also had other symptoms like: mood swings, irritabilaty, lack of motivation, foggy mind, forgetfulness

When I was a young teenager I had a normal to high Libido and I think my current condition isn't normal for a male in my age.

I also recently started eating more dietary fat, because I thought this might be the problem. My diet is really healthy in general. I also take ZMA.

So after that didn't help I went to a Endocrinologist to get my testosterone checked, because I thought my symptomes indicated low test.

Bloodwork:

TSH 0.27-4.2 mlU/l (range) 1.63

FT4 9.1-23.8 pmol/l (range) 21.1

FT3 2.1-6.8 pmol/l (range) 6.1

Prolactin <18.8 ng/ml (range) 8.1

FSH 1.5-12.4 mlU/ml (range) 1.0 ! This can't be normal.

LH 1.7-8.6 mlU/ml (range) 2.3

Testosterone 562 ng/dl

He sent me home saying my testosterone is normal and everthing else is also fine. Saying my symptomes most likely are psycholocical. I don't share his opinion. I feel really frustrated.

Does the low FSH mean I'm infertile?

Since the Bloodwork I started taking: Maca, Tribulus and Horny Goat weed and almost immediatly noticed a difference. I've took maca before and always noticed a difference immediately (in less than 6 hours)

So I've been reading about LH and FSH and estrogen (high low?) trying to figure out what might be the cause for my low libido.

What do you guys think about my Blood work? What else should I get tested?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks, Winston

Can't believe endo didn't request Free T, SHBG, and E2.
You ever run any cycles? Be honest.
What about a CBC panel?
What about vit D deficiency?
How's your sleep?
How's your diet- you sure you're really getting enough good fats?
Porn? Seriously? If you're watching harder and harder stuff to get off your screwing yourself.
Your low FSH could be just fine tomorrow, could stay low permanently. You can get it tested yourself, you know?
With your total T that high you will never, ever, ever get a doc to sign off on TRT.
BTW, when we all were teenagers we all had good libido and could shoot loads all over the place-that's not an indicator of anything.

Well the story line is almost identical!

Complaints of altered libido in spite of essentially NORMAL blood work, and therefore worthy of contesting the doctors assertion the causation is LIKELY PSYCHOLOGICAL or at least not hormonally mediated.

Yet of course the "patient" finds the cure by experimenting with some vague concoction only avaliable thru a web based site ONLY HE HAS ACCESS TO!

CONCLUSION DEFINITELY CONTAGION!!

The only thing I've ever run were SARMS (7months ago): 12.5mg Ostarine and Gw 1516 for ~3 weeks Do you think that could have effected me?

Vitamin D is great 108 nmol/l (50-100) range

I usually get 8-9 hours of good rest.

I usually eat 4 whole eggs in the morning with porridge, fruits in between, meat veggies carbs and salad for lunch, more fruit nuts, cottage cheese, bread, whole milk, etc for dinner

I actually hardly ever watch porn because I don't want to desensitize myself. Also because I have a girlfriend which I see regulary.

My goal isn't to get TRT, that's the last thing I want. I just want to have a normal healthy sex drive.

Bottom line I should get Free T etc. tested?

@Dr JIM

Contagion??

What are you refering to?

Alright, so listen up. Contagion was a troll on this board who is now banned. He offered pseudo-science and unsubstantiated advice and was often shot down by the more educated members, such as Dr. Jim, for being totally wrong. If you want a good laugh, just search his name. That's what I did after Dr. Jim and others accused me of being Contagion too. You gotta understand something: these boards are no-nonsense, no-BS. The boards here are moderated by the members, not people who have a stake in the game. There is a very strict set of guidelines for posting here, especially if you're a source, and if you violate it you're done here.
That being said, I will offer you my advice based on my experience over the years because I came here asking similar questions. You're in a particular place in your life where you don't feel good and you're reaching out, I get. But if you are Contagion and you're flaming me on, fuck you.

From what I have read a three week cycle of SARMS will not hurt you. I've read/heard that there is some slight suppression of the HPTA from the Ostarine, but it's slight. The people who shill SARMS will tell you that you need to have a proper PCT and they will provide links to the websites that they rep for where their brand of snake oil is sold. I'd be curious to know who turned you on to SARMS cuz I know what some of the members here think of them. But after seven months your hormones would have come back up to normal by now on their own.

There are more educated members here who know a whole lot more about diet than I do. But to me it looks fine. Just make sure you are getting enough calories for your activity level. Restricted calories over time affects hormone levels.

So when I've had my hormone labs done my endo has requested these tests: Total T, Free T, SHBG, LH, FSH, and Estradiol-Sensitive. If you've never had a CBC that should be done as well. Ever had a cholesterol panel?
In case you don't know, most of the testosterone in the blood is bound to a protein called sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). Testosterone that is not bound is "Free" testosterone, this what our body can use. So you do have a healthy total T level, but if your SHBG is high it will affect how much Free T is available to use. The fact that your doctor didn't draw these makes me assume that you saw a GP, not an endo, or your endo is an idiot.
Now let's say you get all these labs drawn and everything comes back great, even your FSH comes back to normal. Then what? Most likely the stress of your studies are weighing on you more than you know. Stress is a real thing with real ramifications. I remember the final year of college not sleeping very well at all because of the stress and I went through the days, weeks, and months feeling like shit. Sex, who cares!

I re-read your original post, how much weight training are you actually doing? It might be time to take it easy for a few weeks to let your body recover and reset.

Also, if you've been with your girlfriend for a while you *could* be getting bored with her in the sack. You can only plow her so many times before it becomes repetitious and boring. 17 years of marriage has shown me this. It's ok to take a break from sex for a while. Try going a week and see how you feel then.

That's all of my unprofessional advice I have to offer.

@Rocks Off

I really appreciate your advice and taking time for my problem. I can assure you I'm not a troll. But I guess anybody could say that^^

I read the same thing about Ostarine; that my levels if there was a supression, should be back to normal by now. I found out about SARMS by myself, but I regret taking them in the first place. That's also the reason I stopped after 3 weeks.
So I guess we can assume that this isnt't affecting me anymore (if at all)

My diet really shouldn't be the problem. Because of my history with Lightweight rowing I've learned alot about nutrition and as I'm also gaining weight (muscle).

Actually I went directly to an Endo.
Until now I only had my testosterone tested once in June 2013 by my GP, because allready then I felt like something wasn't normal. Total test june 2013: 400ng/dl
He didn''t look further into it.

I felt like the endo didn't take me that seriously. I asked him about free test but he said it's not that accurate and wasn't necessary. I was surprised that he didn't do further tests. (health insurance isn't a problem anyhow)

CBC:
WBC: 5.1 10^3/ul (4-10 range)
RBC: 4.94 10^6/ul (4.5-5.5 range)
Hematocrit: 42.4%
Hemoglobin: 14.4 g/dl (14-18 range)

(2013)
cholesterol: 4.02 (<5mmol/l)
LDL: 2.07 (<2.6 mmol/l)
HDL: 1.01 (>1mmol/l)
Triglyceride: 2.06! (<2mmol/l)

what else do you need?

Yes that's true I am stressing about this whole thing and I've noticed that when I have less stress that my libido does improve but I don't have more stress at the moment than usually.

So it could be that my test is normal but to much is being bound? Or is it possible that I don't have enough Estrogen?

At the moment I'm training ~4-5 days a week.(I used to train alot more) and I had an extensive break from summer to fall. I doubt I'm overdoing it...

I've been together with my girlfriend for 1.5 years so your argument might be valid.

Thanks again Winston

@Winston26 Your doctor probably didn't take you seriously because you're 21 years old. If you think you feel like shit now I got news for you buddy...

Without a full picture of your bloodwork, such as Free T, SHBG, and E2 you'll never be able put two and two together. Your doctor is an idiot for saying the testing of Free T isn't necessary, I mean, WTF! Get a new endo.

So your total test in June 2013 was 400, now it's 562. That's pretty damn good. I wish I had a natural increase like that in one year.

Here's my advice, get a new doctor or a second opinion and ask for a FULL panel because your idiot endo didn't do a thorough job. Once you have those labs we've talked about, then, and only then will you get a full picture. But remember what I said above, what then if all your labs are normal?

I'm not gonna tell you to lift more or less but you might want to just back off a little considering how you're feeling and the stress you're under from school. I haven't exercised in a week and a half other than doing some pushups and pullups and going for walks, and I feel so much better than I did. Last week at this time I was an effing zombie.

Regarding your sex life, I'm not a therapist but if you're tired of your girl after 1.5 years that's something you need to look at.
