If someone is arrested for possession of a scheduled drug, has that on their record, and maybe even loses their job over it, would that still be considered a slap in the wrist? I literally have no experience with the laws pertaining to personal use arrests, and admittedly I am unfamiliar with what the punishments are for conviction of possession. Thus my asking (sincerely) what a slap in the wrist is, since you seem to know.

Not to mention, if they really wanted to make an example out of someone, it doesn't take very high quantities to qualify for more than 'personal use' (ie, intent to distribute).
