49 yo wife’s first Anavar cycle.

Hey all, I know from reaserching on behalf of my wife there is a lot of interest in the topic and not much info comparative to men’s cycles. She’s not much of a blogger but I thought I’d post her experiences, results, pics, and answer questions over the course of this 12 week journey. As stated in the title, she is 49, her diet is very good and she’s no stranger to exercise. Her exercise is a mix of CrossFit and core/strength/conditioning classes taken at Lifetime fitness. She is under the care of a physician so this is pharma grade var from a compounding pharmacy. Her doc has her on 12.5 mg of var per day for 12 weeks. So far she has been on it 5 days and no noticeable side effects, possible upset stomach but highly likely that’s not related. She’s not your typical 49 yo, she’s fit thanks to a combination of good genes as well as hard work, she’s 5’8” 130 lbs and about 14% BF per a dexa scan. I’ll post her before pics and we will let this rip!

She’s already feeling pretty good, she sent this last night, I think her legs already look a little more full, I’m sure it’s just excitement tho,haha.

Thanks, but gonna stick to doc prescribed stuff for the time being, she already has abs and those hot little veins on her lower abdomen
 
My Experience with Var:

Overall: Great Experience!

I felt that this was a really good compound to START with/test the waters with so to speak. Was at a point in my life and lifting where I needed a little help, or felt like I did lol. I'm a 47yo woman.
I first started off low dose. I've ran a few cycles of only var thus far. One cycle i ran var and test cyp.
Started off with 10mg twice a day, then went all the way up to 20mg twice a day. I think that was the sweet spot for me.
I did experience some voice changes, hairs and a little oily skin. I also experienced some very nice sides below the belly button/above the knees (lady parts). Libido, enlargement, enhanced orgasms.
In the gym and working out, i noticed increase in stamina in the gym and some strength gains. I did also notice a little leanness while on this as well.
Since this is an oral, I was concerned about liver so i took liver supps. I read very mixed reviews on this that at the dose I was on, don't need liver supplement; and in the other camp they recommended it.
All in all, when I ran this I had very good experience (other than ppl asking me if i had a cold BWAHAHA!).
Key to being on this (and any compound), is your diet. But it appears your wife has that down just fine.
I would also run this compound again, when the time comes. Right now my goal is to gain as much lean muscle as I can. I begin prep this week (doing a 24 week prep for a show on 3/30/18).

Wow, very comprehensive! Thanks so much for taking the time to type all of that. She will stay at 12.5 for the whole 12 weeks as this is doc prescribed, maybe more in the future if she likes it. I do have access to pharma test cyp as I'm on TRT but don't take the whole dose I'm prescribed. Where you saying you took up to 40mg of var a day? And with minimal sides? That great. How much T cyp a week did you take with your var? And what was the daily var dose with the cyp? Thanks again for writing all that and best of luck in your show. She just finished her first full week today, but I'll wait till Tuesday to post more progress pics. That will be a week from her first pics.
 
@BovaJP what were your actual results from it? Before and after weight, measurements or lifts?

When my girl ran it, granted she's younger, she put on I believe 17lbs in 10 weeks at 10mg/day and I started her at 2300 cals bringing her up to 3300. We did not have access to a means to measure body fat, but waist stayed the same, and she was noticeably more vascular with much better separation.

Training was 6 days a week, meadows style training. Sleep was anywhere 9-11hrs per day. 8hrs consecutive nightly with a 1-2hr nap pre workout.

The big thing I feel is important, just like for guys, is to really push the food and recovery/sleep.
 
Hey all, she’s 12 days in and we took some new progress pics. She’s reported a general energy boost, better sleep, slightly oilier skin, little elevated libido. Really no negative sides to report.
