Bulgarians were brutal. i have a love hate relationship with them. i think they are a great highly over looked lift. squats didn't move as fast as i would've like but they moved. it was also my first time using a SSB bar as i will be using that exclusively till i set my openers so i took some extra warm ups.
 
Just curious, has the thought of possibly eatting a protein bar instead crossed yalls mind? Just seems more logical to me. Lol

I dont think it would be the same. Protein bars might be healthier (depending on the brand), but part of it is the sugar rush. When youre in an intense session (especially doing multiple "big" lifts at heavy numbers) you can lose energy quickly. That quick sugar rush can get you back in the game. Probably not the best way to do it, but it works.

Have you ever tasted a pop tart... Doesn't seem more logical to me lol. Also I'm not looking to try and rebuild muscle intrworkout I'm more just looking for the additional carbs cause all day before workout I only eat 40g of carbs then post workout I have 200g and if I have pop tarts that's another like 80 if I have 2. Protien bars also don't digest nearly as fast nor give me the rush I like

The pic below is Dan Green who is one of the best power lifters of all time in my opinion and still hold world records I beleive. Look into the Boss Barbell Method. I think it will be right up your alley without a doubt.




I finally joined the serious gym we have in town. So hopefully my elbow will be good to go from here on out as I will be squatting with either a SSB bar or a Cambered bar up until I set my openers. And now it won't affect my bench either

Everything felt great tonight. I did a hand full of squat reps with 95lbs to just start stretching it. I'm going to be running the 10 week sheiko misc prep and misc comp tabs. I need help replacing a few movements. One I need to replace for sure is rev band deadlifts.

Had the opportunity to meet him a month or so ago. He is super laid back and very family oriented. Spent time to talk with me about life, and baseball while he was getting into his truck. I most likely acted like a fan boy. Haha but he is definitely someone I look up to in this sport and in life.

Did arms today nothing really to layed out just a bicep movement superseted with a tricep movement first 6 sets were heavy 8 reps for each final 6 sets were light pump chasing 15 reps

24 sets total 8 different exercises
Hammer curl 3x8
Close grip bench 3x8
Straight bar curl 3x8
Overhead extensions 3x8
Concentration curl 3x15
Tricep dips 3x15
Reverse curl 3x15
Double rope extensions 3x16
Did a stretch
Contemplated swimming for some cardio but I think Ima cut my cardio slightly for the next couple weeks until I'm comfortably sitting at above 200lb, I weighed in at 198 today so I'm close but not quite there yet.

I always hated working arms but it's either hit arms on Tuesday's or have 3 days off per week and since I'm on cycle I'd really like to go 5x a week until full swing of meet prep then go to 4x a week

You really did man I always neglected them cause I thought it was useless mass to have/ not functional to have large arms... Little did I know it's extremely functional, bench is easier and elbows hurt less and chicks are easier to pick up lol. Just need to get those Boulder shoulders up to speed. I wish everything progressed like my quads/hammies and glutes

My legs would be huge if they progressed half as fast as my shoulders. One week in and my shoulders are blowing up quick.
