5 Guys....Not just a burger joint anymore

Hot is better than cold though. I've lifted in both extremes and outdoors. I'll buy my specialty bars one at a time, I guess.
I don't mind cold when I'm lifting I was living in -40 and my gym was ghetto so I just wore spandex under my sweats and could wear a long sleeve and hoody, that's my preferred way to lift anyway I hate being so sweaty that my body is slimy when I lift also my sweat smells like fucking ammonia pretty sure I have used to much nose tork and its permanently infused into my body.

@theprodgicalson i am hook gripping lately yes, I wasn't able to pull 545 hook grip but I pulled 495 for 3 hook and otherwise I haven't been going above 405 so all just DOH except oly lifts.

Intensity day
squat: 435x5x1
push press: 270x5x1
Deadlift: 365x10x1 no pain, first 8 double overhand
chins (neutral grip): 265x6x4

Weight this morning was 258. I don't know how/why I'm not losing weight. I guess I should just be patient for now. Lifts all went well though.

I feel you on the sweat issue; for some reason I'm able to sweat through my tank top and soak a little towel haha
@Perrin Aybara idk how many special bars you've used but if I had to buy one with my own scratch it would be a SSB followed by a deadlift bar. Just my .02

I've only used a deadlift bar in comps and at my old gym. Right now if I had to pick one I'd be a buffalo bar or SSB because my elbows are getting wrecked by low bar. The next ones I'd want would be a Swiss bar for bench and deadlift bar for deadlift. The Swiss bar would also be for injury prevention. The deadlift bar would be mostly for fun, but one could say it's meet specific training.

Buffalo/Duffalo bar is the greatest most versital bar. You could use it for squat or bench where the others are only lift specific. I LOVE the buffalo bar. I've yet to get to use it for benching tho. That would be my choice of bars if I had to choose one

Did the full program today for squats ( current column). Did the goal column for bench. Everything went awesome. 455 felt like a feather

I'd be interested in trying a buffalo bar, they don't have one tho. The SSB is great for my shoulders/elbow, and i think it's a big part of getting up to 405 as fast as i did too.
We have a swiss bar, but I've got no clue how to incorporate it lol
Edit: it does seem to me if you're paying for it the versatility of the Buffalo bar is a big plus.

Accessory day
Shrugs: 330x15x3
Side raises: 30sx12, 35sx12x4
Sldl: 135x15x3
Face pulls: 190x20,4,2 (rp)
20 min cardio

Doing the cardio now and I'll be doing mobility when I get home. Weight was 258 again today.

You strapping up for the shrugs? 15 reps I'd be slipping DOH by the end I think

Seems like if you're paying for it the ve
Okay ya me too it's just too much for my hands once I pass 315 to hold on past 8 reps on shrugs. I use straps for rack pulls too actually
I actually strap up for a lot of stuff, but never deadlift. I tend to do all my pulling type stuff on deadlift day so it gets to be too much for my grip to take.

Weighed in at 214lbs

I cut my gh dose back down, so it's likely just water weight. I'm still blown away I'm not gaining a pound on 4750 calories on training days and 3550 on off days. I've went over quite a few times lately using beef rather than turkey, too.

Bike to and from the gym

Comp squat
Bar x a few

315x3
Added wraps and belt

455x3 @ RPE 9ish
410x2 shoulder felt like it was about to rip out of socket, so I racked it after two
410x3 used the wrists pinned back position, but didn't have upper back tightness, so this was pretty much RPE 9 already

Alternated wide and neutral grip pull downs (in place of deadlift assistance)
180 for 5x10

Hack squats
Five plates per side
5x7

Weight was 216lbs

Bicycle to and from the gym.

Preacher bench dumbbell hammer curls
25lbs 3x10 each side

Abductors and adductors with red mini bands 3x20 each way and each side

Just ordered a pair voodoo X floss from rogue. Been having some decent shoulder and elbow pain lately. I've heard nothing but praise from everyone so I'll give it a shot
