5 weeks into retatrutide

Just wanted to give my retatrutide experience, this is my current dosing:

week 1: 2mg
week 2: 2mg
week 3: 3.5mg
week 4: 4mg
week 5: 4mg

first two weeks didn't notice a single thing still binged for 3 days lol
week 3 still didn't notice anything major but I didn't binge I still could binge if I really wanted to
week 4 is when I had one day of really bad bloating that lasted for a half a day and went away. I believe I did start noticing an appetite suppression but I could still cheat but the desire to binge or eat out wasn't totally there.
week 5 I don't really have a desire to eat junk and have been sticking to a diet pretty well. No bloating.

while taking reta I've also been tracking blood sugar via cgm and even when I did cheat, my blood sugar never got above 120(and your boy ate). Could be because I'm post show but even week 3-4 with high carb meals It NEVER goes over 120. I'm eating more food now in my diet and the highest it gets to now is 109-111 at peak spike and quickly goes down within minutes. I'd say I need to run reta a little longer to make a final answer and maybe even up the dose but I'll keep this thread updated.

I was going by a guide I found online. I stayed at 6mg for 2 weeks and I stalled the 2nd week on 6mg. stomach sides went away o. 2nd week and have been gone since. I increased the dose to 8mg for 5th week and will see what happens and so far no weight loss. Working out fasted along with cardio every other day in the mornings and continue to fast till 2pm every day sometimes eat twice if i dont finish my meal.
The common practice, and what the clinical trials follow for a variety of reasons, is to do each dose for 4 weeks unless you are having sides you can stay longer or if you are still losing you don’t move your dose up. I would probably let your body “rest” for a couple weeks at your current dose or even back down a bit. Let it adapt and see how it goes. I can’t help on any of the other stuff you are taking as I don’t know them.

He went way too fast. It takes 4-5 weeks to reach stable levels at any dose.

I can’t use Metamucil. I’m on the other end of the spectrum. Someone installed a straight pipe in my gut somewhere along the way. Oddly enough the rest of my immediate family is the opposite. I guess I got the recessive straight pipe poop gene.

Yes, I get colonoscopies.
Way after the fact, but had to comment.

Laughing with you, not at you. I've never heard "straight pipe poop gene", but I will be stealing that immediately.

Same for me. Family is different but I'm a few times a day, even back on sema a little while ago (same frequency, less volume...to not get tmi). I am curious to see how Reta will affect me...starting that here in a few days.

It has been more than 6 months since this convo took place. How did your reta journey pan out? Any notable insights gained along the way? Anything you wish you did different, looking back?

Is there any specific reason why you are especially concerned with Reta about heart issues? Have i missed something? Can somebody explain?
All glp1s increase rhr. Reta probably slightly more than others (although it gets talked about way more with reta)

But as long as you aren't in the range of tachycardia, there is no good reason to worry about it.

I'm curious if you've noticed any heart issues on reta so far? That's the only reason I'm scared to try reta
Only thing ive noticed is a bump is resting heart rate. Seems to subside but on/day after injection day it gets a little higher for me. Nothing I can notice or feel but my watch tells me.

I’ve been on 2mg for 5 weeks and it’s still working great. The appetite suppression hit me like a freight train the first two weeks. It’s subsided now but I still don’t snack or have desire to eat bullshit food . I also get full way faster now. So far I’m down 20 pounds with minimal muscle loss . Daily cardio and lifting 5-6 times a week as well
