A properly formed.bench is impossible without a spotter. Your scapular area must be fully retracted and shoulders pushed back as far as you can so when the weight hits your body there is no give at all- your body is set for that weight. In order to unrack you have to push forward and this releases all the tension you have going for you- destroys your stability and allows rotator cuff motion you do not want. I unrack everything 315 and under, but 316 requires a.handjob from a spotter. Huge difference.

I can't wait until I can say that about 405. Guy in the gym the other day was doing 5 x 5 with 405 Like it was nothing. No lower body action, suicide grip. Always something to make me feel like I am not progressing.
If I remember you only been pumping iron about 2 years? It will come. Let the tendons and joints toughen up as muscles grow too fast.

Shit I remember saying as a teenager. "I can't wait till I'm repping 315" lol. Goals, keep knockin em down homie :)
 
I hate asking for a spot. It does make a big difference if I can get a lift off, mentally and physically. I don't think a lift off is a bad, you use a lot of energy getting a bar in place. So, why not ask for a lift off if you have a spotter?? With that said I hit 315 for 5 and 4-1/2 (got it half way, spotter helped) on bench press this morning. Then I dropped down to 275 only got 6 and 5, no spotter. Both weights felt good and I probably could/should have squeezed out another rep on my 2nd set of 275. I know if I had a spotter I could've done it. But, I wasn't gonna ask the dude for another spot.

Another awesome workout in the books!! It was a little pissed to only get 6 and 5 @ 275, but like I said no spotter makes a difference. And even though the kid that spotted me with 315 is a douche, he did a good job. Elbow is still a little sore, but no sharp pin pricks, so I can live with that.

I do feel like I starting to tighten up now and I'm lovin' tren.:D

Next time you do these try hitting the flys first and then the presses, this is known as a pre exhaust set using a single joint exercise to exhaust the muscle then going into a multi joint exercise like the press, the pump is crazy and it works great

I did get some taurine and started eating bananas again, that plus Gatorade and Pedialyte cramps have almost stopped.

Damn brutus you've only been training for a couple yrs?? I've read you had a rough past. Did you play any sports growing up?? If not, good thing you found your calling, you're a natural.
 
Doing better. Out of the hospital and back at it. Went to the gym today and got in a decent little work out. And finally got my calories / macros back on track :D

Not this time. All of them were old korean ladies. Funny story though. A little over a month ago I had to go to the hospital in Missouri at the university. Most all the nurses there were students (and pretty hot). And they all hung out in my room the whole time and kept asking to give me a bath. Appearantly I was the only person there that wasnt old and crazy.
*side note, I didnt get one. I felt too shitty at the time. And now Im mad at myself.

Powerlifting for me was over 14 years ago. And I maxed 315 then. It was heavy as hell back then but my arms are really damn long so it's just a matter of straightening my arms.

Now you shorter guys I could understand needing a lift cuz you would probably have to come out of form to get the press started

On my dog walks in the evening I've noticed a vehicle with a license plate IFBBPRO. Never really pay attention to what it meant, just looked like a bunch of letters. After doing a little research, I found that an IFBB Pro Female lives down the road from me. She has a blog and a Go Fund Me page. The blog hasn't been updated since March. The Go Fund Me page says that she will compete on the IFBB stage by May of 2015 with her ultimate goal of competing at the 2015 Ms. Olympia. I pretty sure that there was no Ms. Olympia this yr. Anyways, I've seen her a couple times outside, really small waist, big thick thighs, wide shoulders, huge fake tits. She's not very friendly, I've waved and she looked at me like I was a retarded alien. I could be retarded (depending on who you asked), but I ain't no fucking alien!!
