Careful flaring your elbows, especially with the weight you can sling. It's hard on your shoulders, and over time could lead to serious injuries. Ask me how I knowI been looking up some chest exercises better than the standard bench press. I fell across an article on fast/slow twitch fibers and the recruitment in various muscle groups. In order to take my tri's and shoulders out of my pressing movements im considering the guillotine press. Many consider it the best chest developer around. Remember im not a power lifter any more and benching with my elbows tucked is inferior for chest growth. Any body have experience with this exercise?
Also I been considering flaring out my elbows and doing low neck bench presses. Which can steer the growth in the right direction. Tips or help please. I believe I have short comings in my chest due to poor form (power lifting form). Mostly in the center of chest where the breast meat curls in. My outer chest is as thick as a 5 lb chuck steak. Like most taller bodybuilders I have a high chest. Look at most guys over 6' and you'll see what I mean.
