AAS for sciatica pain relief?

I hope your wrong lol. I'll find out soon though. I've heard from a few guys that said hgh helped with pain from herniated discs. I'm sure it would help it heal faster in early stages but skeptical on older injuries.
I have 2 herniated discs and nerve damage in my right arm from a pinched nerve.

The discs in my back that are fucked up I can do something about by keeping my core strong. 20 minutes of abb work every day, but don't expect roids to help with spinal injuries.

Avoid lifts that aggravate the problem. That is the best thing I found to minimize pain. You can work around injuries like that and still build a quality physique.

For real? that was probably a "false sciatica", ive had those before, where they fade with painkillers and physiotherapy, however this is different. Meaning bad.
What corticoidsteroid did u get?
I have injectable dexamethasone and oral prednisone. Had 3 or 4 days I couldn't sleep. Basically sat in my chair all that time. Still hurt but it was the best position I could get in. I would be up just hurting until like 6-7am before I'd get so tired I could sleep for an hour or two. Chiropractor is the one that said it was my nerve being pinched but he could be wrong. There's a trainer at my gym that said he goes through the same thing from time to time. Ever since I slipped a disk about 4 years ago my lower back has been something I try to the it easy on. First time I ever had that type of pain though.

Most often this is called "piriformis syndrome" the piriformis is innervated by the sciatic nerve and can cause sciatica like symptoms. Deep tissue massage or equivalent stretching on the glutes, hamstrings, deep hip rotators/flexor will alleviate these issues. Lay face down about 1-2 feet away from a wall and tell your woman to lean against the wall for leverage while putting her body weight on 1 heel in your glute. This simulates a professional deep tissue/trigger point massage. It's gunna hurt like hell but try to relax your entire body while feeling this pain. If you're relaxed enough and there's enough consistent pressure you'll feel the muscles release after about 30s-1min

^this works (assuming that's your problem). You're not looking for a little bit of naughty boy ass tickling. Save that for later. It takes some real pressure to get in there.

My piriformis is always tight and squeezes the sciatic nerve.

If it was a herniation he would know! lol. Most cases of numbness/tingling and pain running down the legs is piriformis syndrome OR a glute/hamstring imbalance. Both are synonymous with each other though

I have 3 lumbar disc herniations.

I also have 4 cervical disc herniations. Any good stretches you could recommend?

An experienced massage therapist can help ease a majority of your pain. Stay away from heavy training that's going to compress the spine. Pigeon stretch for lumbar/glutes and decompression for the entire spine. A sports massage therapist will be able to ease tension in the suboccipital muscles, erectors, traps, rhomboids, thoracolumbar area and sacroiliac area

Thank you I'll give that a shot

You know I'd never advocate surgery bud. But my fusion wasn't that bad at all. L4 L5 to S1. But my discs were partially cracked also. Surgery was really the only option. It was hard just walking. I'm with you though. No squats or deadlifts. Also be careful if your holding heavy dumbbells at your sides. Don't let the weight arch you forward. I honestly don't know how you even lift bro. That's a lot of damage. If you can stay away from surgery great. But in the hands of a GOOD neurosurgeon its really not bad. Good luck bud.

Thanks. I know I'm going to need surgery at some point I'm just trying to hold of as long as possible.

I hear you bro. Just remember the older we get the harder it is to recover. The first month sucks. After that it wasn't bad at all. By 4 months post op I felt great. Don't get me wrong I still experience pain at times. But the surgery worked great for me. At least you are smart about your lifting routine. I see so many idiots in the gym doing squats with prior back surgery. And then they complain my back hurts. NO SHIT! Take it easy bro.

Heard of some physical therapists say to basically sit on a tennis ball or lay down on one with the ball positioned on the glute... Simulates the same I would think... Ya know if no lady friend is available ;)

Lacrosse balls are what my chiropractor recommended

I have a herniated disc L4-L5. Stopped lifting all together, got my health and nutrition right, started focusing on flexibility and core/body weight exercises, weekly massage therapy and put my ego behind me. Now I squat and deadlift around 500lbs and have virtually no back pain.

How long did you have to stop lifting bro? Since mine were cracking I had no choice. Glad to hear you completely recovered.

Your lucky man good for you. With lumbar issues core strength makes a world of difference. If I don't lift for just a few weeks my lower back actually feels worse
