Accutane permanent cure?

I've read one or two 6 month courses of Accutane can permanently cure acne in a lot of cases.

Has this worked permanently for anyone with steroid induced acne?

I suspect a permanent cure isn't for the steroid induced type, but I'd like to know if it's worth a try given the nasty sides or just stick to Doxycycline, which is effective and no sides but temporary.

Yes it has worked for many on here

It did for me but it only lasted a couple years. Im getting acne again from trenbolone sandwhich now on my back again so I will run another course. It works but also is a bitch to be on.

What dose did you use and what was so bad about it?

So I hear. The doxycycline I'm using clears it after a few months and keeps it away, But after I stop, any variation in hormone levels and it comes back. At least doxy is gentle.

If you run accutane you dont need as much as people say, I did only like 20mg a day for a few weeks and it completly cleared up my back so just start really low.

did you purge when you first started taking it?
no it just started clearing up. I was also on 10iu of gh so idk if that sped it up but it was almost gone after about 3-4 weeks. I was bad too bro like cystic acne on my back. Couldnt believe how well it actaully worked at such a low dose.

nice you started with 10mg or 20mg i wanna try a cycle

I was prescribed Isotretinoin as a teenager with the worst acne imaginable and it has permanent effects for me.

It doesn’t matter what I‘m running or how much my E2 bounces around, I never get more than 4-5 small pimples in my face.

I took accutane back in 09. Since this my face acne is cured. I still get bacne on gear if my diet is off or I am overloaded on sugar. It is pretty controllable on test. Other compounds are hit and miss.

Ran accutane about 20 months ago for 3-4 months. My acne is about 90% cleared up permanently since. If I don't wash my sheets or shower before bed I might get a tiny red bump or two, but I don't even remember my last breakout.

Keep the doses low. 10mg is plenty for most people. There are studies showing that people got almost identical results from a fraction of the dosages doctors typically give out.

Pharma is typically the gel capsule form. Accutane can definitely lose potency if it's dry powder being exposed to air for too long.

i see, so they do make 10mg accutane capsules? cause i thought it was only 20mg pills that you break in half

A little off topic, but I’ve been putting straight tee tree oil in a dropper on the cystic acne and I’m having some success.

I know the dry UGl tabs work to a degree but Accutane is supposed to be suspended in oil within gel capsules for a reason. This is not a drug I want to play guessing games with, the consequences are too serious.

I ordered some really cheap legit pharma grade capsules from India. They're available as 5,10,20,30, and 40mg capsules.

As my back and shoulder acne isn't constant and "severe", while the official calculator says I need 12,000mg total. as 50-90mg a day doses to fully shrink the sebaceous glands for a permanent one time cure, I'm going to be more conservative.

I ordered 100 10mg gelcaps and 200 20mg from a pharmacy (that was $175 delivered for reference).

I'll start with 10mg twice a day. Split dose reduces sides. After a month I'll titrate to 20mg AM and 10mg PM for a month. If all is well 20mg twice a day for 2 more months.

That's 3,750mg of total exposure and below the low range of the suggested daily dose which should avoid all short term side effects.

Hopefully that will dry me out just enough to alleviate my very oily "gear skin" and crazy earwax production, while avoiding the short and long term sides of a hardcore full treatment cycle of 12.000mg.

After a 2 month break I'll reassess and can repeat if needed. It seems shrinking those sebaceous glands is a one way street, and since I doubt I need to shut them down entirely just reduce their activity, I'm happy to take the slow, incremental route.

i took Accutane as a teenager with cystic acne, really bad, it did its job , fast forward 35 years later i do get leg/butt acne when my estrogen gets to high so i've been using doxycycline and a little arimidex to lower my high estrogen levels and it seems to be working my estrogen was at 70 i'm sure thats what caused my recent outbreak so i need to watch for those symptoms as i didn't have any other symptoms from the higher estrogen levels

a little off topic but i am experincing so back acne. i scrub with 10% benzol solution 2x a day. and i have been taking 100mg of doxycycine a day for about 30 days. its not horrible but still not completly going away. should i riase my dose of doxy??
