Accutane permanent cure?

@JustJake @AllbrandNew @2ndchancesNK

So I don't normally get pimples. It's only on cycle with harsh DHTs. I've been wondering, assuming full course of 220mg/kg, will I have to deal with dry skin for life when off cycle or does sebum production normalize whether on or off cycle?
I don't know of many studies that look at chronic dry skin after treatment finishes, the only ones I've seen that look at this are either old AF or pretty low quality. Most studies on sebum productions are even older but generally showed recovery to normal for most patients.

I've read one or two 6 month courses of Accutane can permanently cure acne in a lot of cases.

Has this worked permanently for anyone with steroid induced acne?

I suspect a permanent cure isn't for the steroid induced type, but I'd like to know if it's worth a try given the nasty sides or just stick to Doxycycline, which is effective and no sides but temporary.
I’m on 80 mg daily. 40 am then 40 pm. It’s cleared it up a lot, but since I’ve bumped my test, it’s been showing up on my chest lately. Hate being on it. I kinda feel like I’m screwed….

The bulk of the face dryness went away about 2/3 of the way through the course,

If you do a deep dive, women with PCOS are likely to need multiple courses of accutane given their hormone imbalances, which is exactly what we are doing to an extent, just on a voluntary basis.

I was on about a gram of gear for a chunk of my Accutane run and it made almost no difference to my skin.

showed recovery to normal for most patients.

So you're saying I should perma blast. Consider it done. :cool:
