Accutane permanent cure?

5 months completed yesterday for a total of 18,960mg. My last 71 days was at 180mg. Worst sides I got was dry lips and rash on the back of hands.

I started a blast in February running 500 test, 500 primo, and 1275iu hcg, and 10-12iu hgh. Within the last month I added some anadrol in for a few weeks and got 3-4 pimples on my chest which went away fast. My bloods were good also each time I checked during the course, outside of alt and ast when I was running orals.

Right now my skin is clear. I still have some residual scars on my back but nothing crazy.

I'm just glad I'm done because I'm tired of putting aquaphor on my lips a million times a day.
The aquaphor will come and go after accutane from my experience. Still need it from time to time.

I've read one or two 6 month courses of Accutane can permanently cure acne in a lot of cases.

Has this worked permanently for anyone with steroid induced acne?

I suspect a permanent cure isn't for the steroid induced type, but I'd like to know if it's worth a try given the nasty sides or just stick to Doxycycline, which is effective and no sides but temporary.
Yes it did for me. Sides sucked such as nose bleeds dry skin and lips and mood swings but I have never gotten a breakout since. If I get a pimple I don’t pop it and they just go away

Glad to hear it brother .

I finished up 20,000 mg 6 months ago and like you, only gotten the rare pimple that disappears on its own very quickly. Wish I had done this many years ago, was well worth a few months of grief to get clear, non oily skin.

I'm days away myself from being done. Got a CMP done, and AST and ALT came back mid 20's. I do inject 200mg of Glutathione every other day. Dunno about lipids. I figure there's no point in checking until after a few months being off. Thing is I'm not really minding it so much anymore. My lips aren't even as dry at this point, but I did ramp up the lip balm the past few weeks. 20,000mg in total over 20 weeks, with the full dose being started week 8. I never paid much attention to my skin, but now I'm noticing these small red bumps that Ghoul mentioned. I've tried the Ivermectin 20mg once a week, but it doesn't seem to do much. It's very possible it's bunk Ivermectin (UGL). I had a buddy order some pharma a few weeks ago and will see if I can bum a few doses off him. The Terbinafine (oral) has worked very well clearing up the ringworm.

If you have access to it. you could try a couple of weeks of 100mg/day doxycycline for the bumps.

It's a very mild antibiotic commonly prescribed by dermatologists

However, don't use it at the same time as isotretinoin. There's a very small risk of brain swelling if both are taken at the same time.

I was pretty shocked to read some derms prescribe Doxycycline to deal with "purge acne" while using accutane, which really surprised me, but probably indicates how low of a risk it is.

180mg a day ain’t no joke. Stuck it out for 10 days and I’m tapping going to start dropping dose down 20mg every 10 days. At 180 my skin is tacky almost like it’s new skin that’s not ready yet. The lightest scratch breaks the skin. Had an itch in my ear looks like Edward scissor hands scratched it. I can feel every inch of my skin. My nipples are on fire. The positive, have not had a new zit since the first few weeks of starting. Most scarring has cleared up. A couple sun spots on my face are completely gone. Pores in the T zone nose and cheeks have shrunk to the point of being almost impossible to see. 180 has my skin looking a little rough right now but at the lower doses and some light exfoliation in the shower my skin looks great. Have not been able to exfoliate at 180 I think it would do more damage than good.

Does accutane negate the need for retin-a?

If I deep search "reddit isotretinoin anti-aging" I see all sorts of experiences from people who claimed it makes their skin turn over faster, look better, etc. simuilar to retin-a.

Then the study in very old wrinky women which I'm sure you've seen.

Worked for me, used to be a pizza face natty, now i can run high doses of whatever I want even let my e2 get high and get 0 acne. I will get a single pimple on my face once every two or three months literally and it lasts a week or so, that's it.

Ran Accutane for about 5 months almost 10 years ago. I forget the dosage but it was I believe 20mg? I think I upped it to 40 after a month or two but so long ago I don't remember

I have to run another course. Did a 6 month back in 2023, cleared up and was good up until I came off my 2024 blast then started getting mild breakouts mainly on my right side (arm/shoulder/back). It has come in waves, but it’s still lingering into my current blast even with my E2 dialled in. Thinking of running 20mg then adding primo in, my skin never looked better when I was running primo right after my first Accutane course this time last year.

I had three days left that just so happened to coincide with a vacation in Tulum so just said fuck it and stopped. One final side effect to report is some crippling back pain that I kept blaming on some really heavy carries, but it turns out it was the Accutane. Back was locked into a permanent pump it felt like... mid back, rhomboid area. No relief to be found. Stretching, ibuprofen, nothing helped. Cropped up around the last month of my 20,000mg/5-month run. Would "catch" throughout the day and make me whimper in pain. Finally started releasing a few days after last dose of Accutane. My body was just done with it, it seems.

First sold me on accutane. Now Mt2. Rip me. I typically tan quick and easy so wasn’t too pressed on it. But might use it to keep tanning minimum while on acc.
You didn’t run into any issues running MT2 and accutane together? I’m planning on jumping back on accutane for a 2nd course to clean up this last bit of breakout that’s lingering on my current blast, but I’m pale af.

Want to be able to still get a bit of glisten for the summer as I don’t like going out to tan in the sun while running acc.

No issues whatsoever

Good to know. I’ve read some guys having their live acne and scars become hyper-pigmented and extremely dark.
That’s a general thing with MTII that I noticed over a decade ago when I started. The accutane hasn’t changed any of the known sides I’ve ever experienced from MTII. FWIW, the hyper pigmentation is overstated imo

Gotta hand it to ghoul. I originally thought running much accutane was stupid.
But it's been about 6 months and I have zero acne on my back or anywhere.

Sad I've lived with random small amounts of acne my entire life when I could have gotten rid of it in a few months with zero sides.

Started running 10mg every 2 days 2 weeks ago. Helped immensely from the first days.new cystic pimples still appear, but I was fucked before. Pimples in ear, on nose on my scalp, close to my butthole. Everywhere on my body I had pimples of course my back and shoulder and chest were the most devastated.A cluster of like 5 pimples on my elbow etc. I recommend to everyone RUN accutane before ur cycle even microdosing it can save you. Also keep ur e2 down

Maybe not exactly the right place to ask, but has anyone used Accutane to treat keratosis pilaris?

My girlfriend has been struggling with it - she moisturizes regularly, does peels, but it’s still persistent.

I read that very low doses like 10mg/day might help, but some people said it could actually make things worse.
Anyone have real experience with this?

Damn that's a super-low dose.
