The amount of finger-pointing in boxing is embarrassing.

W/out steroids he was 180 lbs and barely recognizable as the man we see today.

For MMA or kick boxing/MT Wrestling, BJJ it has been my experience that excessive steroid use hurts conditioning.

One of my former students/training partners was on his way to greatness. He won both the blue belt division and the purple belt divisions in the Pan Ams, at 7 months and 14 months respectively. Both were record setting achievements (typically takes 5 years of hard training to get a purple....and that is assuming you were and excellent athlete).

He also had very solid striking skills. Unfortunately he made many poor choices, one of which was to do very high dosage (2k plus a week) of gear.

Reem is an anomaly, as he has clearly done a lot of gear w/ out it hurting his game.

Here is his remarkable transformation: Snapshot of the Day: Alistair Overeem's Growth - Bloody Elbow

I am not judging, if I were a young pro I would do what ever was necessary to be a champion.

Having said that, I think that Reem is unusual, responding to gear better than most and still keeping his cardio.

Also, his grappling has come along nicely. In any event, he is one of the best, possible the best, although JD Santos might disagree.

Here is what I had my fighters do: The only way to test for exogenous test is to look at the epitest to test ratio. Above 6 to one, you fail. However, a 200 lb fighter can do 300 mg of test and still pass.

Overeem's 1-year suspension is up in a couple of weeks. He's going to be in UFC in Feb 2013

This is a dramatic transformation. Not like the 10 lbs that Juan Manuel Marquez gained to fight Pacquiao. I've never since so many people convinced that a 143 lb boxer could only achieve that physique with the use of steroids.

Dan Duchain said that some people have better steroid receptors, and thus get much better results than the average person.

Looking at the radical change in Reem, I would say that he must be on megadoses, when in fact he just did normal doses (500-1k mg a week).

That would explain keeping his cadio....then again, I don't think he has gone beyond the second round since his radical bulk up. Would love to see him and JDS dance.

I think someone has had too many androgens today:D

If the pic is a joke, then I think it is moderately humorous, a 7.2 on a scale of 10..
