Just a question on old posts, I realize that responding to an OP’s question from a post that hasn’t been active for years isn’t the most productive way to spend ones time, but often I will be searching for information and come across an old post that hasn’t been active for a long time, but contains valuable information that is partially answering my query.

Is proper etiquette to continue posting to the existing post so that there are not hundreds of similar posts created, or should old post just be left to fade away?

Good question. There is not a one size fits all answer. Many times new members resurrect old threads just because they dont realize there are entire threads dedicated to the topic or lab they have questions about. It is super annoying when people post stuff on old threads like, "yea I was wondering the same thing," or "does anyone have any recent feedback on these guys."
Most of the time old threads are left to die because they are not relevant anymore.

Every thread I have come across has been bombed out by shipping details. I love the fact that this board is unmoderated but that is just inexcusable. I wish we had just two or three admins to go through and delete that shit.

Out of curiosity, anyone know the story of why this forum changed its name from mesomorphosis to thinksteroids?
