Alright so long story short
This past weekend I had a trip with my girlfriend(who is now my fiancée) in a cabin type place
We don't smoke, we dont drink
and when we have in the past, it was in very very very small quantities
Anyway, I'm like we're away let's try something new together
(We haven't drank or smoked in over 3 years)
She says ok so I pick up a bottle of jack and some weed for the trip
So we get there Friday evening, drink and smoke a little until we fall asleep
Wake up the next day everything is cool
Go to get breakfast at a cafe next door, go explore the town we're in then get back around 7 or so
So we wrap up the night by drinking more (by more I mean more than the night before which ended up being a decent amount)
Wake up Sunday morning at around 3 a.m. and we agree to smoke the rest of what we have so we're not driving back with it.
So we go through about 7 or 8 bowl packs of this stuff called brainwreck, supposed to be a hybrid 50/50
Which for us, not smoking or drinking in 3+ years is a lot
We go back to sleep, wake up around 9 or so, check out at 11.
Now at this point I still feel high which was expected.
She drives home, I fall asleep on the ride home, we get home around 7 p.m.
I wake up and still feel fucked up
Not even necessarily high, but out of it out of it and not myself. Kind of out of body.

So now for the past 3 days I've had severe anxiety, depression, sense of impending doom, loss of appetite, suicidal thoughts, everything feels kind of cloudy, and I don't really feel like myself.
When I do feel hungry all I can eat is 3 or 4 bites before I feel full or sick
in the past I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but this hasn't shown itself for years (4+)
I went to the urgent care last night just to be sure and they seem to think it's all stemming from anxiety, but I have a history of anxiety and this feels like something different.
And yes the stuff I smoked was weed and not K2 just to rule that out

Now the thing that stumps me is my fiancée feels absolutely fine. So it's not like it's laced weed or anything like that.

I know there aren't many doctors in here, but there are many experienced and intelligent folks on here
Any input is greatly, greatly appreciated.
Feel free to ask questions
Just want to know if any of you have experienced something similar or know if weed and alcohol consumption will cause this days later
By that I mean can it cause a chemical imbalance in the brain that lasts for days after
Being that it's such a shock to the body

Edit : I am not on any medication, nor have I been for years, although the urgent care prescribed me Xanax which I have taken 2 of in the last day

Edit edit : the urgent care performed and ekg and a chest xray to check the status of my heart and I did find out I've had heart palpitations for quite some time.

Also I have just slightly elevated blood pressure.

Trying to provide as much detail as possible

@tdad I also have issues with anxiety. Also I've been through a nearly identical scenario. Instead of weed though it was wax which is basically a concentrated version. For nearly a week a felt as you are describing. Things eventually evened out for me but it did aggregate my anxiety which has never gone back to normal unfortunately. I wish you luck my friend, and hope you have a quick turn around.

Also I know eating can be a real problem when your feeling down. I would consider forcing yourself to down a shake or two at least. I know for all of us losing gains will definitely make any situation worse. Good luck bro.

How long ago was this if I may ask?

I cope with my anxiety by going to the gym or my fiancée is also a great release from my anxiety

I appreciate your input, I hope you make a full recovery

You should join a hippie commune that way you can sweat out your sins working with the earth and sculpting beautifull works of art out of logs and buffalo chips with your spare time. Itll give you time to reflect and find yourself and hopefully quit trippin.

Weed kills

So... did you like propose this weekend man?! You said went on trip with girlfriend, (now fiancée) just curious

Weed can deff cause anxiety but never heard of it lasting more than a cpl hours. Pretty sure youll be fine but if i were you i wouldnt partake in the devils lettuce anymore, sounds like it doesnt agree with you. Also alcohol is a depressant so that pretty much covers your symptoms!!!!
Ride it out dude [emoji41]

Congrats bro! Make sure you flushing your system with plenty water also. If the alprazolam is helping with the feelings you having, I'd keep taking and perhaps if a couple weeks goes by and if you still feeling the same go see doctor. Hopefully those effects were off quickly tho. I haven't smoked weed in a while but I remember when I would occasionally I would get "funny" like really spaced out feeling, difficulty concentrating, that cloudy feeling for a couple days after.

Diagnosis- You are depressed, anxious, and can't eat because you just got engaged to be married and you are no longer in control of any aspect of your life. It will be okay, as time goes on symptoms will fade away..

Jk man congrats on the engagement, I'm no professional here but maybe the lingering effects of what's left in your system (even as small as they may be) might be effecting your anxiousness.

Friend had the same issue. It's from your. Body detoxing itself. Since you smoked so much. It will last a couple weeks at max. My friend was in the same situation. Thought he was going to have a heart attack because he smoked alot and days later had your same issue
