Another thread about someone trying to regain fertility and having issues.

Been on trt and Anabolics for a few years now. Took 250iu eod hcg. ran three weeks at 60mg test c then dropped it continued hcg for a week then clomid at 25mg Ed for two weeks until I got insanely depressed and couldn't function dropped the clomid feeling better. Im on week three now with no testosterone cyp. Feeling like shit is an understatement I couldn't get it up to save my life I don't even have interest in it. Im working out and haven't seen any decline. Staying on a high protein diet. Im taking vitamins but that's it. Should I have stayed on the hcg longer? Should I try hmg or rfsh? Or just keep going cold turkey? I read so many differing opinions. Things are made further difficult as the impregnation will not be natural but ivf or maybe insemination. I just need to be as potent as possible as not to flush thousands down the drain. Thanks guys. Can't wait to hop back on.

Should totally consider switching to enclomiphene bro. Clomid is horrible and people report terrible long term side effects. Pretty sure for fertility pct people ran higher amounts of HCG for a short period to really jump start your system. Enclo is great long term as it helps jump start your testes and test levels as well.

Did you have your semen tested ?

There is no standard protocol to regain fertility. Some needd hals a year 3 times 1500iu a week or even longer, and add 75mg hMG …

Check out Vigorous Steve's fertility protocol:

He was able to get his wife pregnant after ~15 years of blasting and cruising, and he knows his pharmacology.

This protocol worked for me. I wouldn't fuck with clomid or enclomiphene. I also feel low libido on HCG monotherapy after stopping test. There is not a whole lot you can do about it because your brain has gotten used to getting way more test than your balls can put out. On the bright side my bacne is clearing up.

I threw in the towel and took some test. I felt empty on HCG monotherapy. I am going to try 175mg test E 1x week 500 iu HCG/75 iu FSH 3x week and see how it goes.

Which protocol worked for you?

1000 IU HCG 3x week / 75 IU FSH 3x week
How long did it take to get your semen parameters good (or conceive)? I am on the fence starting trt - I have had two back to back tests at 186ng/dL and 257ng/dL so the need is there, but fertility concerns are my biggest issue so I’m just digging into it

It took us three years to conceive but there were a bunch of female factor problems. I was natural before starting FSH/HCG and I went from somewhat sub-normal sperm parameters to normal parameters.

If you are actively trying to conceive there is no way would I start messing with TRT. If you just want to preserve fertility there are ways but nothing is guaranteed.

Yeah - we’re probably 1.5-2yrs away from that. I also have low T (186 and 257 on my last two tests) so it’s just a really awkward spot to be in. I want to find the solution but need to balance it against family goals

Maybe try HCG monotherapy. I felt a huge boost from going from natural T to HCG. It's the transition from super-natural T back to HCG which sucks.

That’s great to hear. I’m on wk3 of enclomiphene and no noticeable change yet, but hcg monotherapy seems to be the next step. The clotting and ocular stuff concerns me and hcg seems to have a pretty good safety profile relative to it

Just be aware that HCG will shut down your pituitary so if you want to get back to fully natural its going to take months of recovery.
Interesting - I thought endogenous LH production resumes “easily”, at least compared to exogenous testosterone. I guess I’ll have to dig more. Thanks

I was able to regain fertility and have a child on this protocol. It worked for me, it's not a guarantee it will work for you.
Dropped trt and all aas
750 - 1000 Hcg week
prioritized dark leafy greens, cardio and lean protein.
In 9 months my sperm count was up to 61mil, the same month my wife was pregnant.
