Anxiety Medications. What has worked for you?

SNRI's are the most effective drugs for my anxiety.

I had to go off Brother. Fortunately the panic seems to be gone after a year on the med even off the med but it is still early. The brain zaps are nuts (been off 3 weeks).

Took my Test up to 200 mg/week and planning a nice little blast. That should make things interesting.

But yes a few weeks off the lexapro and the anhedonia is better. Best wishes!

Eventually I have to go off my antidepressants to ever feel alive again, but sadly I am in a place where i have to push through. Wellbutrin as second med helped quite a lot but side effects were abysmal.

Will look into test, afaik ssris also lower total t quite substantially, but so far I was only lightly dipping into sarms and peptides.

Oh boi the brainzaps, nobody tells you about those when you start.

Nothing compares to Effexor in regards to anxiety but it also makes me into a zombie

I was on effexor for years and switched to pristiq a few years ago. It's stronger and I don't get any sides from it.

Gabapentin, amazing for anxiety, no weird anehdonia… 300-600 mg when needed.

Also

Baclofen amazing for anxiety, allows me to get deep breaths in again for being all pent up all day…20-30 mg a day.

For me it was all Ritalin. In Oregon we have a specialist group ADHD NW and my PhD went over how ADHD often has GAD and GDD diagnosis attached. However, both G depression and G anxiety are caused by ADHD so by treating it the others diminished greatly. For me it worked spectacularly.

Abused Lyrica many years ago, had two seizures from it. I don't have epilepsy, and never had seizures before, it was caused by pregabalin. Basically came back home from hospital, took another dosage and had a seizure again. Dosage was around 1200 mg. Take care.

No, i've used it for getting high. It makes you feel high and euphoric and you get motion problems. It's not an everyday getting shit done kind of drug. Wouldn't recommend for bodybuilders at all.

If I would have legit, diagnosed anxiety disorder, i would probably get on a lowdose long acting benzo and accept the addiction... would be probably smarter than getting addicted to pregabalin, but that's just my personal opinion.

Just saying if i would risk addiction for an anxiety disorder, i would choose a benzo instead. Lyrica is overhyped and risks are underestimated imo.

It would probably work for me as well, as i had the best (and worst) experiences on dopaminic antidepressants like Wellbutrin and Parnate (MAO) aswell.

But without an ADHD diagnosis, which is pretty much impossible to get in my country as an adult due to the massively understaffed mental health sector, nobody will prescribe it.
