Ok I am 30 years old. I have been a diabetic for 15 years and my sugar levels are under control (ussually around 130-140 blood sugar readings). I have been working out and uped my calorie intake to 3800 a day, almost doubled what I am used to. My problem is I am still the same skinny guy that I was in highschool and am concidering trying my first cycle. Only thing is my friend has no idea on how it will effect my body being that I am a diabetic. Has anyone on here have some info on this? Any other diabetics go on cycles? Thanks for the help in advance.

A type II diabetic is a tough situation in regards to AAS or bodybuilding in general. A type I diabetic has no such problems....it's a simple matter of adjusting insulin dosage as needed. A type II has to worry about further increasing insulin resistance, which AAS and excercise-induced GH can both do. Also, the caloric intake needed to make things worthwhile is tough, although you're pushing near 4k, which is good. Which insulin(s) are you using?

Well I have been on a sliding scale for the past 2 years due to the fact I eat alot more. I use U, Ultralente for my long acting insulin and Humalog. The humalog works really fast and this set up for me is as close to being on a insulin pump as possible. I check my sugar levels when I wake up, before each meal (I eat 6 meals a day), and also check them before I go to bed so that I know I will wake up LOL.

I'm a 33 yr. old Diabetic. I've been taking inmsulin for 30 years. Right now I too am on a sliding scale, 4x daily blood test inject of R & L insulin.

Anyways I started this not as most people do, but it was my only way to pack on weight. I've gone from 133 lbs. in Febuary to 163 lbs right now. And I keep growing. Just gotta be real careful with bloodsugars cause one instance of high bloodsugar will cost me around 4 lbs no matter how much juice I'm on. Right now I'm on TestE, dbol, EQ, and deca. lol

Now I may be one of the smallest guys here but I'm cut like a mofo and all the women like my modelesque phisique. What I have accomplished is a much better appearance. Not huge, but not as wirey as I was. I make brad pitt in snatch look bad. ;)

And I can out lift most guys at the gym who are heavier than me. Not the bodybuilders but the regular 200 lb. guys. And all the women want me which is what this is all about for me anyways. lol

So make fun if you want, but I went from a crackhead sick look to a model healthy look. Better than nothing, right? And I MAY stay on forever depending on how much I loose when I come off this winter.

BTW, some things to look out for and be careful.
1) NO high blood sugar ever, it will defeat what you've accomplished.

2) NO creatine, it will fuck up a diabetics fragile kidneys.

3) we will never be world champion bodybuilder huge. But just appreciate the cut up, almost zero BF, muscular look.

And always carry some dextrose @ the gym. I fell out once because I can't tell low bloodsugar from the tired as shit workout feeling. Train with a partner that knows how to get you to injest the dextrose too cause most people think a sick diabetic is just fucked up on drugs or alcohol.

conceited much?

hehe just kidding man. congrats on the transformation and the "hot bod."

Awesome and good to hear someone has delt with this before. I cna relate with the skinny part now LOL... I am 6ft and 144 lbs soak n wet. I am cut like crazy so I hope this will help me gain weight, along with my calorie increase.

Now after a cycle... how much weight gain is normal that you loose? Also even after say maybe 2 cycles, as long as I keep working out regularly, will I keep gains still? Or is it something that if I start doing a cycle or 2... I would need to keep doing cycles to keep a thicker build?

Oh and thanks for the insight about the creatine.... saved me some money :)
