I have a bottle expiring february which is almost full and would be a shame to waste it given it cost me 40 euros just to get 1 bottle to the eu, anyone have any experience with this?

By law and regulations they have to put an expiration date to save them from lawsuit. The date that's on there is the safe by date, you can go past that date, at your own risk of course. The biggest thing to watch for is to make sure no visible particles, you may also test pH levels to ensure it's still good that way.

Neither the water or benzyl alcohol can go bad. The stopper is the weak link, and that likely has a 10 year lifespan.

As was pointed out, it has an expiration. primarily because it's required to have a date by which the manufacturer guarantees quality. They are not required to actually perform testing to determine its maximum life. That's why many medications are good for 10, even 30 years beyond their expiration date.

The vast majority of expiration dates on medications and medical products are BS. Use clean technique, swab the top with alcohol and let it fully dry and only pierce with new fresh needles. To be safe, I keep mine in the refrigerator but that probably doesn't matter much. Just use it until it's gone.
