Once in a while my ribs will bother me it can be a dull pain or sometimes sharp on my right side, I hit chest pretty hard tonite went pretty heavy on the incline dumbell presses with the 150s, and were talking the old school 150s there huge and these in particular had large round screw like knee killers on the ends so you really got to get them fuckers up awkwardly with the side of the dumbell barely off the side your knee, they suck I have to say the rubber coated just solid flat dumbells are so much easier to press and much more compact so hoisting them up is a breeze compared to the ones at my gym anyways my fucking rib is aching as we speak on the right side any of my ribs, you guys ever have issues? I do a lot of stiff arm pulldowns and stretch the fuck outta my lats maybe I strained some connective tissue in the ribs feel free to chime in thanks.

You went into great detail about the dumbbells.

I had rib pain. It stopped randomly. I usually just ignore things until they go away.
Yes I did bro my bad I just wanted everyone to get a mental picture lol but those dbells are ancient bro from the sixtys possibly, I wish I had a spotter Ive always went solo it's half the battle getting them in position to press thats why you mostly see pros have them handed to them.

I have rib pains on my right side quit often. A few years ago I thought I cracked a rib. Took some time off from the gym but it still took several months for it to quit hurting.

Now two years later, the pain starts coming back. I started doing some research on the net and thinking about anything that I had changed. Turns out, me and my workout partner had increased our focus on front stiff arm pull downs when the pain came back.

This leads me to believe that I have some kind of connective tissue damage in my right upper obliques next to my lats that begin to hurt when I stress them.

So I quit paying attention to that pain ;)

It could very well be your intercostal muscle between your ribs. Happens quite often with weight lifters. It's easy to strain and can cause pain. Especially when taking a deep breath.

If very well could be your intercostal. hard to say @CornfedJ86 but from your very detailed description of said DB's, did it hurt when either getting them up into place or setting them down.

When i hurt/tore/whatever to my intercoastal i took 6-8 weeks off of anything that would cause my to brace my core hard

I do a ton of stiff arm lat pulldowns close to 20 sets a week since i do back twice a week. They have bothered me before this,i stretch to the max on them and get the most ROM i can possibly get, wanna make them lats grow they can never be to wide lol im making great gains right now every i mean every fucking time it seems i start getting great strength gains an injury will creep up on me just part of juicing i guess ,and 17 years of lifting heavy like the age old saying your muscles will keep growing and getting stronger but everything else wont then SNAP!!!!
