Are International Sources Untouchable? The Long-Arm of U.S. Steroid Law Enforcement

The government does not want it to be legal. If AAS were legal it would cut into the money they are making off of big pharma.

Cheap easy access would dig into proffits big time.

They are making millions off of TRT already.

Gear is a low-margin product compared to opiates and weed.
Exactly. Heroin, meth, coke people sell everything they own turn to crime and will rob their kids piggy banks for the next fix. It's a guaranteed income stream if the addict does not get their fix they will become ill. One good addict alone can bring the dealer 6 figures a year. Many addicts spend hundreds of dollars a day every day on drugs. AAS users are a totally different thing, Cycles are planned, a batch of Gears bought and maybe they'll pick up one or two more items but for the most part they're only good for a couple sales a year. They're not going to spiral out of control sell everything they own and turn to a life of crime to support a steroid habit. Total waste of time and energy for the cartels to be involved in aas distribution just wouldn't make any sense for them financially

Nope

Not in this case - if you study the history it's clear that it was Joe Biden's pet project to get PED out of pro sports. About as effective as gun laws of course, but he's a liberal...

Even the otherwise always eager to regulate anything and everything agencies and bureaucrats didn't want steroids on the narcotics list.

I will check it out, gives me something to study

You don't have to go far:
Joseph Biden Criminalized Anabolic Steroids with Harsher Penalties for Steroid Users

Credit for the following goes to @Millard Baker and his article:

"Biden has sponsored more damaging drug war legislation than any Democrat in Congress. Hate the way federal prosecutors use RICO laws to take aim at drug offenders? Thank Biden. How about the abomination that is federal asset forfeiture laws? Thank Biden. Think federal prosecutors have too much power in drug cases? Thank Biden. Think the title of a Drug Czar is sanctimonious and silly? Thank Biden, who helped create the position (and still considers it an accomplishment worth boasting about). Tired of the ridiculous steroids hearings in Congress? Thank Biden, who led the effort to make steroids a Schedule 3 drug, and has been among the blowhardiest of the blowhards when it comes to sports and performance enhancing drugs. (emphasis added)"

Biden is a despicable human being for so many reasons, the above is one of his lesser offenses. Of course, those on this board who vote Dem never seem to realize what they're getting. If you vote Republican, you might get an asshole, if you vote Dem, you will get an asshole. So I hold my nose and vote Republican.

Thank you, I will read it

They tried to extradite a 6th - Mihael Karner with Asia Pharma - from Austria while he was in custody before he embarrassingly escaped custody and went to Slovenia; POTUS Obama designated Karner as a "Significant Foreign Narcotics Trafficker" or "kingpin" under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act.

Two years later, Karner is apparently still conducting business as usual. The Musclebear guys served their prison sentence on U.S. soil, were deported back to Ukraine, and apparently returned to business as usual as well

Alenka, Matevz and Mihael karner, do these people run any known source??, hoping they are not the Balkan ones

It's been over 6 years and feds still haven't caught Mihael Karner, most wanted kingpin designation notwithstanding.

Now the DEA is offering a $5million reward for information leading to his capture.

Besides China & Moldo ,what other country's don't play along with U.S. laws

Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, various African territories, North Korea, (though be careful with NK since little rocket man will likely dick-ride trump to get sanctions lifted,) and a few other small financially secure never-heard-of countries around the globe that give the middle finger to the US. Even if there is an extradition treaty in place doesn't mean it will be honored and in some instances it will only be honored under certain circumstance; depending on the crime, or depending on whether or not the person will face the US death penalty, etc.

Yes, if the US has an extradition treaty in place with the particular country then US LE will have the right to request the arrest and extradition of said person.

The problem arises if and when the host nation refuses extradition. In the ordinary course of affairs, that ends the matter, but in some cases, the U.S. has been known to resort to kidnapping to get someone to the U.S. to put them on trial.

The USA goes that far if the fugitive is so wanted.

Has this ever happened to anyone other than terrorists wanted by the US?

The feds have also created elaborate ruses to trick people into leaving non-extradition countries. The moment they set foot in an extradition-friendly country, they are arrested.

For example:

MuscleBear Busted: How the United States Apprehended an International Steroid Source - MESO-Rx

This was all done right before the indictment:

The Feds Set a Trap for Musclebear
December 2009: Special Agent Sean Grillo acting as Sean Broth requested an in-person meeting to collect the $3000 fee associated with setting up a merchant account for Musclebear-s.com.

Musclebear agreed but insisted that his brother Yvgeniy Suray be in attendance in order to assist with translation and technical issues related to the set up of of the merchant account on Musclebear’s website.

December 2009: A meeting was originally scheduled in Vienna, Austria on January 7, 2010. The United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Attache in Vienna, in cooperation with Austrian law enforcement officials, reported that Skochyk and Suray reserved a room at the Intercontinental Hotel Vienna for January 6-9, 2010 via the Austrian travel agency ALSA which has a branch in Kiev, Ukraine.

January 2010: The meeting was postponed and rescheduled for March 17, 2010 in Cyprus.

March 17, 2010: Special Agent Grillo acting as Sean Broth met with Musclebear and his brother at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nocisia, Cyprus.

After the meeting, Skochyk and Suray were “provisionally arrested” in Larnaca, Cyprus.
