I've been having major computer issues of late and am about to reformat.
Can you suggest a firewall or some such device?
In the past I've used various anonymizers of the years but was told they could all be gotten around.
Like any of us, I'd like not to be so out in the open.

and most of the broadband users ip will show up on these websites that are set up right will read your ip addy no matter what you do.
i dont know. this is just what he told me.
here's a website that is setup right. i turned on my proxy, and it read my true ip, and on these ip check sites my ip does not show up.
click on the credit card option, nd scroll down and read your ip addy.

i use mozilla, and it read my true ip with proxy on. i have java, xscripts, everything disabled, and it still reads my true ip.
i setup exployer and iy did not read my true ip.
i know somebody will say just use exployer, but i have everything on mozilla, and i had somebody work on my mozilla so that everything stored on mozilla is encripted until i type in a password to start it up. he said he could not do that on exployer. so if my computer ever got taken, their is nothing that can be read in the mozilla program files. also my mozilla can download files to an encrypted folder where i can store personal shit.
