"Ask Chest Rockwell" column - Open thread for member questions

Since I've gotten into this sport I've done nothing but my own research and what works best for me. So how some of these guys don't realize why the questions their asking isn't user dependent is beyond me.
Some of them are good though.

Chest,
because tren is a 19nor Do you believe It affects dopamine receptors the way nandrolone does? Possibly stronger?

In this study on male rats it shows nandrolone having an impact on several dopamine receptors. It states,"The altered mRNA expression of the dopamine receptors may contribute to some of the behavioural changes often reported in AAS abusers of increased impulsivity, aggression and drug-seeking."
The anabolic androgenic steroid nandrolone decanoate affects mRNA expression of dopaminergic but not serotonergic receptors. - PubMed - NCBI
I understand it is on male rat, although a scientific doc told me the male rat is a good animal to attain data from.

Further, why do you believe Tren has the most affect on the male human brain in regards to, aggression, mood, sex and overall behaviors. What brain imbalance chemistry concoction makes this happen in your opinion?

My thoughts exactly. Lots of these are also user dependent. There's no secrets to fitness. Just fuckin do it and stick to it.
LC, my brutha... While the "answers" exist, there is more disinformation and than good information. You know this.... Have to filter the BS and biases (product endorsements, lying for ego etc. etc.).

Chest has always been scientific in his approach with me personally, and I'm sure with all other responses as well. Truth be told, I rarely look at his log or his other clients, I just don't have the time as I'm pretty focused on my own goals. Obviously there are little nuggets of help I can find within them, I'd rather just let Chest explain to me our next steps, and help me understand the "why"....

If only it was as easy as a google search....

A lot of these questions could be answered with a couple hours on google scholar.

True
Maybe these questions aren't specifically for the person asking but for general knowledge and weeding out bro science. I know what dosages work for me, but clearly when there's guys here STILL wanting to run caber with tren and npp, without ever pulling bloods, then clearly there's still alot off broscience floating around. I've never needed caber, even with the most renegade cycle. And have blood work to show little to know changes. But still, even with the older members they parrot the caber bullshit.

I've had great success with my own research for my physique, up to this point.

With that being said.... my physique is nowhere near @ChestRockwell - I creeped your IG brother. Insane. And your girl's got some moves!! Was awesome.

Looking at his avi here, and his pics elsewhere he is YOKED. Unfortunately I still think the questions being asked here are still too broad. As opposed to him helping someone like you, who is already at the peak of his game, and chest will give you little pointers and what not, or major ones, to really dial things in.

Shit I wouldn't mind having him look over my stuff and tell me where I'm wrong and what can be changed to be more beneficial.

From what I've seen on the members progress photos here... my physique is lacking in a lot of areas. I don't think I would get the best use out of someone as experienced as Chest right now.

Really when I said things are very user dependent, I was seeing A LOT of questions asked about AI. I'm a scaredy cat now, so I take toremifene and aromasin on the daily, but some people may not need anything. Blood tests determine what dose to take I think. Who knows man. I don't. That's for damn sure. I didn't mean any disrespect to chest. I just think the questions being asked are too broad. I think it would be better if once a month Chest just wrote up an article about a common mistake he sees people do, or tips on how to build certain groups from different angles.

Damn. If he did that.... then meso would literally be the SUPERIOR site for AAS. The only thing we really don't have are recent articles. But that is very time consuming.

Like this post. Holy fuck I typed a lot. Sorry @Wunderpus

I am still skeptical about this. I was running 25mg EOD of aromasin and my left nipple flared up on tren E. never happened on tren a though. I think I will err on the side of caution and still take prami alongside 19nor. Plus the elimination of refractory time is pretty neat ;)

First of all, thanks for the kind words - very much appreciated. My Missus is the true brains and brawn behind TSP, but let's keep that secret between us so I can continue to masquerade as an expert

As far as your suggestions, this is really a community decision and I'm happy to contribute in any way you guys see providing the most value to the community.

So these are great discussions, please continue deciding how any and all articles I write would benefit everyone the most.

I feel a lot of us don't really know what questions to ask. All of them could be pretty basic questions that they already know the answer to, they just want some type of secret answer.

Instead of you scanning through question after question, maybe you could make it more beneficial for your time by writing articles about things that really helped you out, whether that be through drug usage and timing, nutrient timing, or even which muscles work best for higher rep/lower rep. I know what the major muscle groups are, but there are a bunch of smaller ones that seem to really make someone stand out if they are correctly developed. I also don't know which muscles benefit from what type of lifting. Maybe some are more endurance muscles? I would assume traps would be an endurance muscle, as where I would think something like hamstrings are more explosive and heavy?

Maybe you could clear the air on some things that you find people have HUGE misconceptions about, because if someone thinks they are right about something, then they won't ask questions about it, even though they could be completely wrong.
Like @Wunderpus said... lots of wrong information goes out there. I got almost all my information from forums. People have different preferences and as cliche as it is, broscience, floating around in forums.

Biggest bro science:

High Reps for details
Low reps for size

"Nah bro i wanna get cut. Going to the gym and gonna do 1 every of every single exercise for pecs and gonna sell that program. Yeah easy bro. Gonnna get ripped. Ripped bro. Ripped."

Mean while the most ripped dude in the room is the PL over there doing heavy triples in the skwatt rack

I think an interesting topic to cover for a set of questions is longevity. With recent deaths in our community, Piana and McCarver, I would love to get some further info about things like:

How would you prolong your career/hobby and still achieve progress, yet mitigate risk as much as possible?

What do you believe is the most harmful drugs, in terms of longevity, and why?

What drugs yield the greatest "results" for the lowest risk?

Is hepatoxicity largely overstated in oral AAS? I've always believed high blood pressure -> kidney damage, or cardiovascular damage, is far riskier than liver damage, thoughts?

In terms of diabetes risk management, do you believe there is a certain threshold of GH usage where insulin actually becomes SAFER due to relieving stress on the pancreas?

Does blasting and cruising really make "more" sense for "lifers" than coming completely off? Does resetting your HPTA w/ HCG, Clomid etc. actually cause MORE stress on your body and but you in a catabolic state far worse than just "cruising" would?

What OTC or easy-to-acquire ancillaries do you like to run with your cycles, if any, to assist in negating some of the harmful effects of steroids, insulin, gh etc.?

Im in for all but the last 2 paragraphs :)

Man the only OTC ancillary I've found to work is water.... shit. It's already at your home! You don't even have to leave to get it.

I did a two-part guest spot that can be found here:

Got a chance to listen to these today while messing about at work. Surprised it was your first podcast bc you seemed to have a better handle on the flow than the host. Confirmed what I had a hunch about, that you were a Datbtrue contributor. That's (Dat) what sparked my interest and hobbyist into PEDs. Read a lot then pinned peptides for about a year. Then another year before wading into a cycle. I'm sure he got paid handsomely by his select sponsors.
Actually was routed to Meso through that stop.

I like best the idea of you choosing an article/topic and going didactic. Perhaps then answering some questions related to the article?

It's a great contribution and hugely appreciated/valued.

I spend waaay too much time lurking around here.

Datbtrue was how I learned about peptides. I tried the CJC1295w/o dac and GHRP6 way back in the day. Didn't notice much from it.

Benefits of the peps were subtle for me, slow n steady. I ran Ipa and Mod, and was able to stay lean despite cheating on the regular. Miss that community although 50% left me scratching my head

Chest Rockwells method of answering questions reminds me of Dats schtick
