Australian Bodybuilder Pleads Guilty to Importing Three Kilograms of Steroid Powder

Brenton Dowell, an Australian bodybuilder, pleaded guilty to three counts of illegally importing anabolic steroids and two counts of possessing anabolic steroids. The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service seized three packages containing a total of 3181.35 grams of testosterone powder. The quantity of steroid powder possessed by Dowell was sufficient to use 1,000 milligrams of injectable testosterone every week for 61 years. Yet, prosecutors did not seek steroid distribution charges against Dowell.
