In my opinion, only one thing compares to the recent religious and political threads that we've had going.

Who Should Play in the BCS National Championship?

And this weekend, Millard will have to do something he's probably never done before. :D

It's a close tie as to what I hate more, College Football or Basketball, no wait, its definitely Basketball with college ball coming in a close second. :D

YOu know the BCS powers that be is hoping that Alabama atleast wins its next two games where people can focus their attention on one of the teams in the BCS instead of both teams in the BCS championship.

What I would find even more interesting then who plays in the championship game is what happens if Missouri beats the Big 12 south representative and Alabama lose in the Iron Bowl But beats Florida in the SEC Championship game. Where would that put an undefeated but non BCS team like Utah or Boise.

As long as Florida beats Florida St, the winner of the SEC championship will go to the BCS Title Game. But there's a lot of things that could happen. OU could lose to OSU. Put Texas Tech in the Big 12 Champsionship. Missouri could win the Big 12 Championship Game and that might put Texas or USC in the BCS Game.

Utah and Boise St. need to either get in better conferences, or schedule ALL TOUGH non conference opponents. What sucks is that, I think that they tried to do that this year, but their tough non conference games turned out to be teams that weren't that good. Michigan Oregon and whoever else.

Lastly, this must be the worst thread ever. It's been up for a week and I've gotten 2 responses, and one of them was Lizard King telling me he hates collge football! :D

I agree that any of the winners of the SEC championship game will be awarded a high enough ranking to go to the championship game and if it is Alabama that wins then they deserve it by playing in a tough conference, playing in and winning a conference championship and being undefeated.

But if Florida wins I don't think that it will quiet the claims that there needs to be a playoff. It will only make those who complain about the current system complain more if Florida goes to the championship game.

If Oklahoma wins tonight (currently up 54-41 with like 2 minutes left as I type this) and then wins the Big 12 championship then how could you deny them. They are ranked higher then Florida right now. If Oklahoma loses then you will have those that say Texas is being scathed and they would have a very very good argument.

And to me the Boise and Utah schedule is a none issue. Both have tried to schedule tougher teams for years and many big conferences are afraid to do so. They won the games in front of them, they play in a Div-1 conference and they are undefeated. I am not saying that they necessarily should get an automatic bid in the championship game but they should have the opportunity to play for that chance.

I still don't think a playoff will fix many issues because I still think some well deserving teams would be left out.

This years BCS bowl games will be interesting though. If Oregon State won today they would have went to the Rose Bowl despite having 3 losses. Cincinnati will go to the Orange Bowl despite having 2 losses and possibly could lose to Hawaii next week.

An ACC team could go to a BCS bowl game with 3 or 4 losses. Texas is ranked number 2 and could get an at large bid to a BCS bowl game or even be left out depending on where the chips fall despite only having one loss. IF they do get an at large bid then that means that a team like Boise State could be left out which isn't entirely fair either.

By the way this thread doesn't suck at all just I guess not a lot of true Collegiate Football fans in Mesorx.

BYU is trying to schedule a game with Oklahoma next year on a neutral field. Both teams should get some respect for even trying to schedule that game.

I am an Oklahoma fan. I think that this could possibly be a dangerous game. OU most likely won't return Sam Bradford, Jermain Gresham, the offensive line and some guys off of the defensive side of the ball too.

Win or Lose doesn't isn't the point of this one. Alot of people, including myself, criticize the small schools for not playing tough enough schedules. And on the other side, people from the small schools CLAIM that the big schools wont play them.

So when you get a really good small program and a really good big program trying to workout a season opener against eachother, that's progress.
