Is it such a contentious thing to stand up for a member when a source is talking shit about them?
It has very little to do with whether or not someone is friends with the person who is being attacked by the source. Take a look at the post history of anyone you feel that is part of this 'clique', you will find they consistently stand up for other members when sources are lying, attacking, or discrediting them. Many of us have been consistent in this position.
Also, you wouldn't stand up for a friend even if they could hold their own? I certainly would, it has very little to do with someone not being able to finish their own battles. I wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing as I've done many times before myself. Empathy for your fellow humans and all....
The claim that there is a 'clique' here is really without evidence. All you have demonstrated in favor of this claim is that Meso members will defend another member if a source is talking shit about them. Who wouldn't agree with that?
I can only speak for myself, but 90 percent of the rapport I have built with the other members I have come to respect here has been by posting on the open board. Dig through my post history if you feel there is some Eyes Wide Shut bullshit going on here among members, you will be disappointed though.

Doing great, Paulie - thanks for asking! Been busy and haven't been around much at all the last couple of months. Mostly just hopping on to respond to PM's, and pretty much only checking threads that I have alerts on.
Speaking of - has anyone else noticed that they haven't been receiving alerts for threads that they are following? For instance, I am "following" the European Pharmaceuticals thread, but I don't receive alerts when someone posts there anymore. And thats not the only thread this happens on. Anyone else notice this?
