Bicep work

Went to gym for an hour before work and guess I was feeling it today. Done 4 sets seated rows at 205. That's a personal best easily. Weird how some days you got it and some days you don't

Ok, I give credit where credit is due. I'm not a fan of Athlean X, but his bicep technique for 21's with the heavier dumbbells for the first 7 lower portion reps is good. I can't lie, it was a challenge doing the remaining 2/3 of the set. I used 45's for the lower 7, then 30's for the remainder and my biceps were smoked. Ok ok, he had a good tip there, I won't lie

Been doing them all week and my god what a difference.

Just because it’s a challenge doesn’t mean it’s truly more effective than simple progressive overload. You’d to monitor this over months and compare it to see if it’s truly more effective than simply being a novel stimulus

What a difference in a week?
Yes, as far as the amount of strain and suffering as oppose to the usual way I was doing it before. It's a night and day difference. I'd recover in less than 24 hours the old way. Not so much doing it this new way.

What a difference in a week? You cannot tell how effective something is in a week. You do not get significant growth in a single week. What are you guys on about?
Relax dude. I'm taking about how much more energy and soreness I'm feeling doing it this new way. I don't know why that's funny to you. But whatever.

Making something harder and eating into recovery doesn’t make it more effective. In fact it absolutely could make it less effective.

What’s funny is you don’t know what you’re talking about. From the sounds of it you’re not advanced enough to even gauge the effectiveness of a movement let alone the knowledge to creating your own effective routine.

Has anyone ever mentioned what a fucking dick you can be?

Finding a new way to do some biceps work for me is enjoyable. I don't know why that is insulting to you and a source of humor.

I'm all for learning new methods. That's why I'm here.

Quite a bit. As far I can tell it’s a family name at this point passed down from generation to generation.
Im am asshole? Dick? Okay. I’m honest. There’s no new method or magic trick that is more effective than getting as strong as possible at the movement. Sorry I thought you were talking about it being effective and were looking for something to create growth in the shortest amount of time possible, not “hey this is neat and fun”. Peoples true goals and motivation in the gym are reflected in their physique.
