2002 Ronnie won his 5th Olympia title, but went to the GNC Show of Strength and lost to Gunter Schlierkamp. His diet guru Chad Nicholls reworked his diet to put on more size before the next Mr. O. Chad Nicholls gave a break down of the macros Ronnie was eating. This is the year you will see side by side pictures of how different he looked on stage only one year apart.
March-May
500g protein
Carbs started the week at 700-800 clean carbs. Each day they upped so by Friday he was 1,200-1,500g clean. On weekends he threw in an extra 1,000g of junk carbs so 2,200-2,500g total.
150-200g fat
June
500g protein
1,500g carbs and every third day 800-1,000g junk carbs
By the end of June he was 327lbs when his previous high had been 310-315lbs
June till contest
500g protein
carbs where cycled...Start of the week as low as 150g and by Saturday at 900g. Then Sunday had an extra 1,000g added for a total of 1,900g.
By Olympia he was 287lbs.
