Anyone seen this movie?
Just bored up late watching movies, seen so many i've switched to documentaries.
Bigger Stronger Faster* is about steroids in the USA. Although its probably outdated by now and also probably biased, I'm still wondering whether to watch it or not.

Anyone know if it's worth watching?

Downloaded and saved to hdd!
Thanks!
Hoping there's something new to learn from it.

Very good movie. I follow Mark bells channel on youtube (superdot traing).
One thing people dont really bring up is that majority of us have body image issues. The movie slightly covered it, but didn't bring up the mental issues that some have.

I liked it but i felt it wasn't made very well and didn't really show a strong arguement for either side. It's great how they showed the opinions of so many doctors, professors, highly educated people and also political figures.

Could have done without the family stuff, also i didn't recognise any of the MLB names.
All felt a little to 'merican for me.

Yeah, neither side could really back up, or make convincing arguments.
I do wish we had steriod education, not anti, or pro, EDUCATION.

Hell, back when I was in high school my weight coach would pin tne in his office, and than come train with us and call us all pussy and bitches...yeah, little man syndrome.

One of the real true statement I have read in a while.
Lots of US and I put myself in the category, has body image issues.
Some stronger then other but we are all craving for the same thing mostly. (and it's not pussy).

I have debating starting a thread, and being the first one to openly discuss this problem. I feel that having a thread where people could post openly, and really talk about why the feel they have these issues would help.
I have had self image issues ever since I was young...being a tad heavy, my mom giving a coconut hair cut, and wearing glasses, being poor, etc etc etc...

Start it i'll gladly follow it and post my own experience and what I think about it.

I'd participate

Steroid usage is so damn taboo in the U.S. We grow up idolizing masculinity and muscles, but the truth is the average adult male body looks like shit and is far from masculine or muscular. Fuck, even the GI Joe action figures I played with as a kid would have been juicing if they were real people, yet we're led to believe injecting AAS is equivalent to shooting up heroin... It's a pretty fucked up situation that the documentary in question covers.

On another note, like most of us, I also suffered from body image issues before picking up bodybuilding... And when I started bodybuilding I picked up new but different body image issues, albeit much healthier body image issues than before. I'd also like to see a thread on this seldomly talked about topic.

Okay, you've guys convinved me to start a thread about this issue.
I don't really have time, but the thread will be up later today.

I feel we should talk openly about why we feel we have body issues, why we take steroids, and the type of environment we where in to cause us to have body image issues.

Any other suggestions you'd like to see when I post it?

Format would be great. Just a few mandatory questions at the top of each post as a sort of 'tl;dr' because its pretty hard to summarize your life story so I imagine they'll be long ass posts.

I thought Bigger Stronger Faster was very good. It was not made to be pro or anti drug, but a psychological look at the people who seek to fill a avoid in there life. It is more about addictive personalities in my opinion.

Yeah I saw it to and it's def worth checking out. I actually watched it once by myself then again purposely in front of my wife trying to warm her up to the idea of me using steroids. Lol I've ran a few cycles that she never knew about but I'm trying to be honest on the next one.
