Been doing the reclining bike and I sweat like a pig on it, whereas on the treadmill, I don't even break a sweat. I'm assuming bike is easier, but since you can peddle faster, you could burn just as many calories. I'm sure you burn more walking, as you're carrying your bodyweight over a long distance (1.5 miles in 30 mins) at 3mph, but I bike 6 miles in 30 mins, and I feel less fatigue than walking (knees, shins, feet).

You guys think the bike is a good thing to do over the treadmill? I know the step mill is probably the most caloric-burning activity, but for me, I don't want to burn out too quick, as I'm doing 5-6 cardio sessions a week.

It depends on what your goal is. Assuming your goal is fat lost one of the key factors is heart rate. Try to get your heart rate around 130 BPM on whatever piece of cardio equipment you enjoy the most

Yea it was 130 the entire time.

I find I burn more calories biking than incline walking on treadmill.

I usually do a little bit of both but more biking when I’m trying to cut fat.

Sweat is not an indicator of the effectiveness of cardio training. The second task of cardio is not to work intensively, since you will lose muscle mass, but to work in a low-intensity cardio mode, where fat will be the source of energy, the lipolysis mechanism.

I know it's not.

Also, it takes a LOT more to lose muscle than 30 mins of LISS cardio.

Of course, but the nature of the work determines the loss of muscle mass and takes the necessary energy, which will affect the main workout. Therefore, if we are not runners, then our task is low-intensity cardio. But this is my opinion, I could be wrong.

There's numerous studies showing biking having a negative impact on both fertility and ED, therefore - go with the Treadmill.

And how to implement this and I do not quite understand maybe?
I was being facetious...as far as muscle confusion I suggest walking backwards on a treadmill then tell me how different your legs will feel...your quads will be wasted...maybe someone will burn 5 extra calories!...

I understand you and your position, I have a different opinion. Shake your hand :)

A bike or eliptical or stepper are preferred over treadmill for so many reasons but the main benefit is stress reduction on bones/joints/cartilage.

For ultimate fat burn and cardio....start doing circuits bro.

I prefer a bike because it feels better. It's easier on my leg joints and i get wicked calf pumps easy walking to the point they feel like they will explode so bike definitely reduces muscle fatigue. But with that I built my legs the most with biking especially my calfskin. Odd differences lol.
My vote is bike but up resistance if you can always

In general, I avoid the track, because my musculoskeletal system leaves much to be desired.

Circuits can be done in the gym or at home bro.

Pick 3-5 cardio exercises and do each exercise with maximum effort to failure in short bursts (HIIT style) and then switch straight away to the next exercise. When you've done all the exercises with no rest inbetween you've completed 1 circuit.

30 minutes is usually enough.
