I'm also in the "don't donate" camp. Although there does not seem to be smoking gun evidence that elevated HCT is harmful, there is some evidence to suggest that it may be, and everything we know about heart disease and thrombosis also lends itself to that conclusion from a common sense standpoint. I believe that it is probably atherogenic in the long term. Obsess over it? Maybe not, but it seems like a good idea to keep it down to 50 or lower as much as you can.
I've never donated myself, but I've seen too many stories like Tbaz192's, and it's consistent with what we know about the mechanism by which our bodies produce red blood cells. It seems clear that phlebotomy is not an ideal solution.
Personally, Telmisartan and nattokinase have helped to reduce my HCT, but as I understand it, they are not effective for everyone. Unfortunately for our gainz, the only surefire way to safely and reliably lower HCT is to lower our AAS doses.
