Bodybuilder Moves to Thailand for Cheap Gear, Gets Necrosis from Dirty Gear, Starts GoFundMe

Dear noobs. This Bud's for you:

For those of you that feel that it's your responsibility to fly into a thread with a big S on your chest to defend any negative talk about your source, that you mistakenly believe is now your best buddy, i want you to run this scenario in your mind.

If the source you hold so dear sold you gear that resulted in what this guy is going through, do you think your source would be there to support you when you're in a hospital bed, with holes in your muscles, eaten away from infection?

Do you think the source would take his gear sales money and put it towards your medical bills? Maybe start you a GoFundMe, because his contaminated gear made you sick and he feels responsible?

The answer is a resounding NO. They would deny culpability, put the blame on you and your sterility practices, then cease all communication. You might get a "sorry, bro" in there while they're explaining to you how this is all your fault, but don't even bet on that.

Sources are not your friends. They may be nice to you, treat you with respect and send you what you payed for, but when push comes to shove, they'll be looking out for themselves and not you.

You are expendable.

Sorry to drag this off topic @Mac11wildcat but i think this story was a good jumping off point for my rant.

Big facts, man.

First: and foremost GTF out of Columbia

Second: develop a more plausible story where a cause and effect relationship are corroborated and elaborated upon in greater detail.

Third; Get a JOB!!!

Fourth: Members need to understand scammers are everywhere from the corner "nam vet" church pew, and all over the NET! (I'm in no way criticizing our vets but rather the abuse of the name for personal gain)

Finally I'll also add since not many BB pin their lower leg, shin area in particular, from what iI see the pic is most consistent with IVDA, such that the user attempted to pin their greater saphenous vein, all of which is entirely consistent with a visit to Columbia.

I was reading on Reddit yesterday some guy had a stroke in the Bahamas and was taken to the hospital. His fiance was with him. He was unconscious. His insurance was accepted there but they refused and demanded cash. His fiance panicked considering he just had a stroke and needed immediate care, and gave the hospital his visa card, which she obviously can't do. They ran it and when he came to he had a 55K bill charged to it... Nothing he can do

Can't you just cancel the CC/Debit card payment for 28-90 days after the payment is made, if you have good enough reason?

You definitely can dispute the charge. However, likely the card owner signed the bill... Which, would essentially leave them fucked.

I might get another dose of hate here, but yes, it's much more likely that the user is at fault than contaminated gear.

Meat eating bacteria such as this doesn't live in oils, especially not in oils with BA. It lives on the skin, dirty fingers, bits of food...

(And I'm not saying in the slightest bit you are wrong, au contraire. )

Who knows? However, I do believe it's likely user error, as well. If it's a somewhat legit UGL in Thailand, they are almost certainly using BA... Also, I know a ton of former intravenous heroin users that never had infections like this.... So, likely bad luck + user error....

No, not really. Maybe 20-50% fucked.

In any court of law document signed under significant duress will not stand easily. Duress in form of threat of not administering life-saving medical care is a wonderful example.

Not 100% about law terminology in English, so feel free to correct me.

Hopefully this will help somebody at some point in time...

Hey if this complication was the result of a Pharmaceutical product,
lawyers would be lining up to take your case, including a free flight from Columbia to their office :)

Part of the issue is the Bahamas not being in the USA... So, US-based CC companies are not going to go after this... Also, if the user signed, the user signed... I would guess they are probably fucked, but, who knows? Still alive, which, is better than dead. I'd pay $50K to save my life.

Abscesses don't (usually) form with IV usage. Bad example.
If they did IM injections of the same stuff in same conditions, you'd see some shit.

It actually doesn't matter where did the payment go to, it matters where your card is registered, as far as I can tell from my experience.

You can freeze it for months easily without even giving out a reason and companies such as Visa and MC usually insist that the burden of proof lies on the receiving party.

It's not about paying 50k$ for saving a life, it's about the fact that abusing people with life threatening conditions like that should not be tolerated and if it keeps going on it will cost somebody too unconscious to pull out a CC their life.

The guys fiance wrote his signature which fucked him. He tried to dispute it with insurance but insurance was like no way. Lol. Because the insurance knows they wouldn't have paid near that much for the treatment. So he is just trying to get reimbursed for what the insurance would have covered. I'll see if I can find the story and link it. It was under legal advice in Reddit.
