Bodybuilder Moves to Thailand for Cheap Gear, Gets Necrosis from Dirty Gear, Starts GoFundMe

Holy shit- this guy is fucked. Dont even think he can fly back to the states in that condition. Damn..

I checked this out on IG briefly. People in the comments made some good points. Right now, this guy is pushing $9K in gofundme. Even if he reaches his target goal, safe to assume these Colombian docs are gonna rob him blind then amputate it, ultimately. I wouldn't want to stub a fuckin toe in Colombia much less this issue. Fuck, i wouldnt go to that country. Period.

Large hospitals in large Colombian cities are great.
They're just as good as American or European ones, yet 5x-10x cheaper.

First: and foremost GTF out of Columbia

Second: develop a more plausible story where a cause and effect relationship are corroborated and elaborated upon in greater detail.

Third; Get a JOB!!!

Fourth: Members need to understand scammers are everywhere from the corner "nam vet" church pew, and all over the NET! (I'm in no way criticizing our vets but rather the abuse of the name for personal gain)

Finally I'll also add since not many BB pin their lower leg, shin area in particular, from what iI see the pic is most consistent with IVDA, such that the user attempted to pin their greater saphenous vein, all of which is entirely consistent with a visit to Columbia.

Agree
It looks like it was a rec drugs injection, and not steroids.

Dear noobs. This Bud's for you:

For those of you that feel that it's your responsibility to fly into a thread with a big S on your chest to defend any negative talk about your source, that you mistakenly believe is now your best buddy, i want you to run this scenario in your mind.

If the source you hold so dear sold you gear that resulted in what this guy is going through, do you think your source would be there to support you when you're in a hospital bed, with holes in your muscles, eaten away from infection?

Do you think the source would take his gear sales money and put it towards your medical bills? Maybe start you a GoFundMe, because his contaminated gear made you sick and he feels responsible?

The answer is a resounding NO. They would deny culpability, put the blame on you and your sterility practices, then cease all communication. You might get a "sorry, bro" in there while they're explaining to you how this is all your fault, but don't even bet on that.

Sources are not your friends. They may be nice to you, treat you with respect and send you what you payed for, but when push comes to shove, they'll be looking out for themselves and not you.

You are expendable.

Sorry to drag this off topic @Mac11wildcat but i think this story was a good jumping off point for my rant.
Besides being expendable, don't make it worse yourself
Go see a doctor ASAP instead of posting in steroid boards.

I might get another dose of hate here, but yes, it's much more likely that the user is at fault than contaminated gear.

Meat eating bacteria such as this doesn't live in oils, especially not in oils with BA. It lives on the skin, dirty fingers, bits of food...

(And I'm not saying in the slightest bit you are wrong, au contraire. )
Yeah
it's especially dangerous since idiots like @janoshik claim to have a testing lab, but they won't test for bacteria/yeast like Simec does.

Who knows? However, I do believe it's likely user error, as well. If it's a somewhat legit UGL in Thailand, they are almost certainly using BA... Also, I know a ton of former intravenous heroin users that never had infections like this.... So, likely bad luck + user error....
Was it Thailand or Colombia?
Why the article begins in Thailand and ends up in Colombia?

He moved across the globe specifically for steroids? what is his income source to begin with?
No, I exaggerated a bit lol. But he obviously didn’t think foreign countries might not have the amazing stand-up gentlemen sources we have here at Meso.

He moved to do the “live like a king in a cheap foreign country” thing. Cheap accommodations. Cheap pussy. You know the deal. He apparently got this idea from the EA guy “Dr” Tony Huge-douche.

Saphenous vein... what is that. Never heard of it. But wait don’t say I will look it up Jim cause if you explain it I am sure some Dumb F will try it..

Care to explain how? And is it sterile afterwards?

I never had a problem yet in all the years of aas but stories like this make me think twice

Syringe filter into sealed sterile vials. Yes, it will be sterile. Doubly sterile*, if the source did the job properly the first time.

*(well, not really. Sterile is sterile, but you get the idea.)

Tony huge.. pretty sure he will have the Hivs’s soo Fucking with all those hookers you see in his videos...

You mean ladyboys. Put some respect on it.
The scary thing is that these guys are probably running a source from there,
otherwise they can't live like kings on local salaries.

The scary thing is that the HIV virus can pass trough filters
Can HIV and other viruses pass trough 0.22 um filters?

If it wasn't sterile, it will become sterile after filtering.

Sorry @Mac11wildcat I'm not trying to derail this thread. It's very important to see the risks of injecting dirty gear/ poor sanitation protocol. It's just an interesting read.

It’s sad knowing this is the world we live in nowadays. Anyone’s life is worth $55k but it would be very discouraging knowing it didn’t have to go that way and now your stuck to pay that bill and won’t have any income for quite sometime.

I was reading on Reddit yesterday some guy had a stroke in the Bahamas and was taken to the hospital. His fiance was with him. He was unconscious. His insurance was accepted there but they refused and demanded cash. His fiance panicked considering he just had a stroke and needed immediate care, and gave the hospital his visa card, which she obviously can't do. They ran it and when he came to he had a 55K bill charged to it... Nothing he can do

Seems very odd bc Visa unlike American Express generally limits a personal line of credit to around 25K.

Someone w a 55K single card LOC is likely earning close to half a mil per year, at least by American Express standards

I think he said bank of america. I'd have to read it again. But even then someone in comments made a valid point, that even spending a few hundred dollars in a different state the bank will sometimes call you to see if everything is kosher.

Same thing with chase. I was stuck in Arizona for a couple of days with no personal money a few years ago. Luckily it was a company trip and everything was paid for. I know it wasn't the guy on the phones fault but he got the blunt of my frustration.

My old carrier tried charging $1100 against my debit card and my bank shut them down. Not sure I buy any stories presented here.

I should add in fairness this comment is based upon the assumption the docs in Columbia knew what they were doing and the patient told them the complete TRUTH.

Out of curiosity I found anther PIC on go fund me which seems most consistent with a POSTERIOR lateral thigh incision, not a common or appropriate site for pinning an IM med including AAS

Incisions that are reapproximated in this manner (a stitch every 3-6" ) are referred to as a partial closure and are often required when an infectious processes involves a large surface area, extends into deeper structures such as muscle, fat, or extensive tissue necrosis is suspected/noted.

WO KNOWING the extent of his surgery like how much muscle, or fascia was removed, pleading for donations "in this time of incredible physical and emotional suffering" should be taken as a money grab IMO

Nonetheless something tells me bankruptcy will not have a significant impact of his credit report.
