It's so interesting how one can have so much muscle and with such little use for it or so little muscle with so much. The human body is a wonder.
It goes to show you how involved the CNS is with strength. Size isn't everything in the strength world.

I have the exact same Nike Romaleos 2 from youtube link, after reading a lot of reviews I opted for it. Proof of their quality are lifers like Lu Xiaojun and Brian ShawI like to switch it up, I can lift more with a powerlifting squat but I love the depth I get with olympic. They both have advantages for my personal goals. Ive been debating on getting some shoes solely for olympic squats but theyre pretty damn exspensive.
I have the exact same Nike Romaleos 2 from youtube link, after reading a lot of reviews I opted for it. Proof of their quality are lifers like Lu Xiaojun and Brian ShawBut I see lots of people lift in Adidas also (especially wooden heel ones) so either way works, I am gonna post a vid of comparisons and recommendations later.
Yeah I think Ironworks also had a partially wooden heel, but price is crazy no doubt. Chinese have their own wooden heel option, you can get on Aliexpress kinda cheap but beware because I have heard of heel height being different as in quality control is not as good. Aye ever since I bought my Romaleos I haven't even thought about squatting in any other shoe. The wooden heeled Adidas you see a lot of oly lifters using in videos are the 08 Adistars. If you wear normal sized shoes, you can expect to pay 800-1000 dollars for a pair in decent condition. If you can even find them. HookGrip got a bunch of them a few months ago and sold them with a dutch auction.
I have the Romaleos too. They're amazing.
