Well it can't possibly be related right- I've had friends die that were using low to mild test with moderate compounds.
There is a link between high blood pressure and aortic dissection (and strokes) though. Scally would affirm this. Any doctor would. In fact, it's the most common link in both cases.I asked @Michael Scally MD about the association between anabolic steroid use and aortic dissection when IFBB pro Kris Dim had emergency surgery after he collapsed during training with aortic dissection in 2007. This is what he said:
"There is no association, link, or otherwise known between AAS and AAD. Many are quick to suggest a link between AAS and a medical condition simply by their existence in an individual. With over one million illicit AAS users matched by an equal number of licit users the link or association would be easily discoverable. This, however, does not stop the hysteria to suggest, wildly, for a connection. What is the evidence for any connection or association between AAS and AAD? Or, as the literature has possibly suggested weight lifting and thereby indirectly AAS."

It was reported on the Internet that 34-year old IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Kris Dim had a near fatal stroke or aortic dissection this month while training. Hethinksteroids.com
I haven't seen the autopsy report so I don't know what the coroner/pathologist said about other contributing factors, etc. So we have what Bostin Loyd's mother told Palumbo to go by. Also, Palumbo has a tendency to dismiss/minimize relevant issues.

The results of the current study suggested that anabolic steroid abuse may be associated with detrimental effects on the myocardium represented as cardiomyopathy or atherosclerotic changes in the coronary artery as MI. These findings also strongly suggest that anabolic steroid treatment predisposes the individual to aortic dissection, especially when the patients are exercised.
I was gonna say the same thing... this is a common example of not looking at the whole picture. There is a link between high blood pressure and aortic dissection (and strokes) though. Scally would affirm this. Any doctor would. In fact, it's the most common link in both cases.
If I was Palumbo I'd be careful not to upset the mother too.
Blood pressure is so important to health and longevity that the Obamacare (Affordable Care Act) bill decided to pay doctors who are paid via Medicare (Medicare/Medicaid pays 60% of all bills) more or less money for their services depending on how successfully they were managing it for their patients, among other things.
Exactly the same kind of guy as Rich Piana - very personable and friendly. Would speak to you when out and always be pleasant.@Pineapples4Puss in all fairness the guy has Bostin's mother calling him and probably texting him saying "hey, the medical examiner said his aorta just ruptured after a hard workout, and his dad has a bad aorta too, so it was a fluke thing."
Now, his dad is still alive. And bad kidneys cause fluid retention and maybe even a hypertensive crisis. Uncontrolled blood pressure will weaken an aorta, etc, etc etc... But Palumbo also makes a good point that these things usually take 10-15 years off your life, not 50. So maybe it was a fluke? However, reckless use of drugs will very commonly take 50 years of a person's life.
It's just a shame because if you followed his videos online like I did you felt as if you knew him. And he wasn't a fake online personality like others he was very real.
OHH MY BLOODY GOD!!! 210 / 200 BP And he just laughs it off like its nothing and normal. Then goes on to say he bought a cuff and it was always sky high which leads me to believe it was always around 200 plus. Is it really any wonder at all the events that happened in the run up to what happened are any surprise at all?Bostin Loyd on his Blood Pressure:
Says according to his bp he should be dead by now and goes on to say bp meds don't agree with him so he won't take them.YouTube
