buying modified cars

No one ever debated that muscle wasn't faster, but you did state that 4 bangers were not built for speed
I don't know what direction Their going with these cars more flashy less speed this car here runs almost a 15 second quarter mile from the factory but "looks" faster04-subaru-sti-performance-concept-ny-1.jpg

Why would i be?
Same era Chevy shortbed would tear that yota to pieces
Or the same era Bronco
Psh...Please
 Depends on what your doing with it. Tight trails I'd want the Toyota, deep mud full-size Ford, GM or Dodge. Got to admit without toyota getting into the game domestic manufacturers wouldn't of stepped up.

Idk what planet your living on
America has ALWAYS owned the truck segment
If you look at the tundra you see a tremendous f150 copy cat
Same with GM. They copy fords success on alot of key truck features.
2004 ford was the first to go fully boxed frames. Chevy said doesnt matter. 2007 they followed suit. Same with the toyota. Ford did it first. 2004 ford went with the first deep bed. 2007 chevy copies. Same with toyota. Ford did it first. Ford will be the first to 1000lb torque. Then everyone else will copy. Ford is the first to aluminum bodies. Everyone else will copy. Mark it on your calendar.

For the record i think the new Tundra is awesome but it is a f150 copy cat right down to that big ol axle ford has been doing since the fuckin 70's:cool:

Should of explained that a little better I was mostly referring to the car market not full-size trucks. Engine longevity and overall durability being my main emphasis. The 90s Ford taurus doesn't even compare to a corolla of the same year.

Edit. I'd of argued brand loyalty with you a year ago but GM has let America down so bad with the introduction of the Buick Envision that I doubt I'll own another GM.

Taurus, chrysler K cars, the worst of the bunch the cavalier

I love GM. But they done alot of fucked up shit. And im most harsh towards them. GM is the reason Toyota is the biggest now. Gotta remember Ford is small. Not even close to the size of GM and they hold their own. A strong GM a strong America. Didnt you hear Alan Mullaly's protest to letting GM fade in to the history books during their bankruptcy? Yes, the mighty Ford argued to keep GM around.

2.2 cavalier drive train isn't awful just grossly underpowered. They all have fucked up problems it just happens that GM is the first to climb all the way in bed with China.

Its an m3 but parts cost too damn much.

E36 M3?

I would keep that thing untouched, finding a good e36 m3 in decent shape is hard as fuck.

You saw what happened to the value of the e30 m3 the past few years when everyone figured out how amazing that car was and started buying them all up. Now if you want one in good shape you need to spend an ass load (I've seen anywhere from 15-30k) - and good luck finding one that hasn't been fucked up.

I think you see where I'm going with this. Not to mention, the e36 is a better car than the e30. :)

Yeah I know that's what's kept me from doing anything to it (except replacing the vanos damn overly complex german piece of shit:mad:) It's an automatic so I wouldn't feel as bad about it. Not too many cars out there that handle as good. But it'd take 10grand to push it over 500hp reliably with the engine in it:( and now I own a 6.0 lq4, I also have a 4.8 crank and rods laying around:oops:. I'd like to build a little rev monster that could hold together at 10,000rpm

I think 17 models are supposed to be getting aluminum doors and hoods.
Spy shots ive seen seem to confirm this
Rumor is a fiat made 2.0L 4 hole twin turbo diesel will be available. Estimated at 300hp. No torque numbers yet. Also the fold down windshield has been deleted from production. But i always thought a wrangler screamed diesel. Now i may pull the trigger. Always wanted one. Add it to the collection:oops:

I almost bought a diesel liberty a couple years ago the only thing that stopped me was that it's a liberty... sucks that the new wrangler will have to have a dpf and def fluid.:(

Right, unless they meet emission standards without the cow piss. I know cummins and mercedes both succeeded at that without def on some of their applications. Def runs about $ 2.75 in my parts which is just another damn cost. Im also sure theyll put a hefty premium on the diesel option to the tune of about 6k. Prolly put my factory built wrangler about $40,000 if you dont buy up on the city slicker optioned by JEEP.

I priced and built mine and printed it out. Base 6 spd manual, jeep issue black hard top(non color coordinated), two tone interior which is a pretty basic order is mid $30k add the diesel prolly like i said about $40k:oops:. WTF is this world coming to? And who orders a jeep with heated freakin seats?

Are they going to offer the diesel option in the 2door with a manual? If they will that'd surprise the shit out of me.
