The thing is it's not just people with shitty immune systems who are at risk! Some people are just genetically predisposed so even if you're perfectly healthy if your genetics fit with covid there's a very good chance you'll end up dying from pneumonia! Covid and the variants fill your lungs with fluid and make the alveoli swell/rupture and when those two things happen at the same time YOU'RE FUCKED!

The majority being those who make less than 30k per year.

No I agree. As I was saying. I don't think it's inherently as dangerous as it's made out to be, the thing I'm actually concerned about is as I said the reported scaring in the lungs. I already have more than enough difficulty getting full breathes of air.
I just can't stand the guys going around saying its fake when they don't even know what a virus actually is. I've been sitting back for the whole thing. To which I agree. 1 large lock down, get it done.
We now have district travel restrictions however all winter anywhere I was was absolutely flooded by albertan snowmobilers. They claim to care about bringing down numbers, right up until money is involved. The majority may not be from border crossings however revelstoke was having a very hard time controlling cases this winter. Along with just as difficult of a time contact tracing. Could it be coincidence that people come from several provinces over to enjoy their snow?
And I'm not arguing with you, I'm genuinely curious what you think about that as you appear to be quite aware. I personally just believe anyone who doesn't have a science background. Just needs to shut the fuck up about their beliefs on the subject. Politicians and myself included. Let's just get this fucking thing over with.

I get this sentiment, but it makes me laugh when people say “99.4% of people survive COVID. It’s not that dangerous.” then turn around and claim that a vaccine is dangerous because of a 0.0006% chance of serious side effects.
If you consider probability a reasonable metric to base decisions off of (you should) then be consistent. Probabilities don’t flip on their head based on how much you like something or not.

I believe Covid is real and dangerous (New tests from blood service Canada said that 1/5 batches tested, tested positive for Covid antibodies)

We dont know enough about the selectivity of the vaccine for "Turning off" certain DNA pieces.
Let me put it this way.
After the invention of Nolvadex, it took something like 10 years to create Raloxifene.
What they accomplished is making Ralox MORE selective of the estrogen receptors in the breast.
Excellent accomplishment.
But we are dealing with something far more complex than estrogen receptors and binding affinity of said estrogen receptors.
We have no clue as to the ling term effects and affinities of the current type of vaccines.

It's part of my job as an IPAC (infectious protection and control) guy to be in situations where immuno compromised people are everywhere (Hey look, a 4 year old girl with cancer and going through Chemo... 5 feet away... fuck...)
So I get tested a MINIMUM of twice a week as a prerequisite for doing what I do.
So if I DO get Covid (Again?) there is very little lead time to me isolating and my elder loved ones are not at risk.
So, yeah..... just ignore me lol

I'm a whore and I love my job and the stress that goes with it.
I'm not about to throw away a decade of reputation building and every hospital in southern Ontario as clients if they decide I need it to bid on their tenders.
May as well throw away all my retirement goals at that point.
And hey, if it kills me... well, I'd be even more fucked trying to restart in a new sector and having to kill myself to get to the top of another market.

Interestingly enough though.
I've been in direct contact with SOOO many positive cases.. its fucking sickening.
They would wheel the extreme ones past me while I was building new control features, every few hours when this shit started.
I'm convinced I have antibodies and theres no reason for me to get q vaccine

For the record I do believe covid is real.. and dangerous(to some), but due to the lack of knowledge of the vaccine and it's long term affects I will not be volunteering for it any time soon. I would only get the vaccine if it was necessary(work or something important to ME).
Truthfully I believe I may have already had covid in the early days, but since I'm not the type to stand in line just to have someone tell me I'm sick, that is only speculation..

Everyone is a scientist. You don’t have to take tens of thousands of dollars of debt to attend some government subsidized post secondary institution with liberal professors drilling communism into you to be informed.

The threat from covid is real, some people will die, but the MAJOR factor is if lots of people get covid and require hospitalization it will completely bog down all hospitals and that in turn will fuck up the lives of MANY non sick citizens.
That being said the politicians and health officials who are just basically politicians as well are handling this shit like complete fucking morons. They didn't create this situation, but sure as fuck are using it to gane popularity and whatever else as they are all scumbags!

of all the covid deaths in Canada, it’s something like 95% of them were in old folks homes. They would die from the flu, and have every year previous to this year. Covid is nothing special.
politicians are using this to enforce tyranny and take away our freedoms and gain more control. Vaccine passports and mask mandates and economic shutdowns.. cmon it’s fucking obvious this is all a fucking plot to make the elites more elite and the normal people like us more normal.
the WHO even calls it the “great global economic reset” on their page. They are using this as an opportunity to enforce more government. You will own nothing because you won’t be able to pay for it, which is what they’re doing now. Making businesses close down and go out of bussiness. People losing their homes.
