Canadians talk domestic

I have some.

Company demand causing grief - change mon-fri to staggered rest days. No one gets a weekend any more

Union issues - discipline for injuries, cameras everywhere used for discipline, working weekends, and sick days.
Most union are putting days in cba cause once PP wins everyone is screwed except the billionaires.

No movement but why would companies treat employees well when our cons and Libs work for US shareholders.
Ie train crews denied right to fill pockets of investors.

Buy local.
Support working class not billionaires.

Like the US

Canada post is a fucking joke. The mgmt must be complete shit.

However these workers striking when CP is losing money hand over fist is also a big fucking joke.

It's actually just above 400 million now.
I cant seem Canada Post failing as it's an icon to Canada much like AirCanada when they were bankrupt our government bailed them out even though it's public company Canada Post.
Anyways they either go back this week or forget it all together.

Since Canada Post had been on strike my package come faster, seeming easier as well.
Chitchat delivery, ups, Loomis, dragonfly, fed.

Maybe one day these postal workers wake up and everyone is laid off or fired. Then Canada post restructures

The railway workers striked when they were making billions a year, they just got forced back to work immediately. Little different but I think the government wants the post office to fail

Canada Post isn't critical to those of us in big cities but it's very necessary in rural and remote areas. Small businesses also rely on them since shipping is way cheaper with Canada Post.

It would be a shame if we didn't have a cheap national way to send mail. One more nail in the coffin of Little India.

I'm just pissed at myself for placing an order the Friday before the holiday weekend. I didn't realize Monday was a holiday so the package shipped Tuesday. I'm guessing the CP workers were already slowing down because my stuff didn't make it to me prior to the strike. So hopefully I get it eventually.

You would think that 72 hours notice should have been enough…any leftovers should have been slowly dispersed by management instead of holding pkgs hostage to make the employees look bad. Management is basically on a paid holiday I guess while pkgs are being held hostage

Correct, I know a supervisor going to my gym and he welcomes the free money while the posties suffer.

He basically said that because the government, no matter who is in power, have legislated railways, port workers and postal workers back to work before, the management will never negotiate in good faith. They will just drag it out until the government force a contract on the union again.

It sucks now for anyone planning to get from China.
