Can't extend arms days after bicep curls

I did some bicep curls three days ago (for the first time in 15 years) and right afterwards I couldn't straighten my arms without taking a few minutes to stretch them out slowly. Now it's three days later and it hasn't changed. What is causing this?

lack of activity...

Used to happen to me the first time I went back to lifting after years off.....felt like the tendons in my aneicubital fossa had barbs on them and I literally could straighten them. You went too heavy too soon. FWIW the 4 or 5 times it's happened in my life it was only after the first time coming back and now that I've been lifting for almost 2 years I can beat my biceps to shit and while the muscle belly maybe sore the next day it's mild and nothing like those 4 or 5 times. Don't work them until they feel better and build weight and volume slowly....it's not a race!

This happens to me when I go heavy barbell curls (not in the squat rack).
Sometimes it feels like my forearm is going to explode or break, so I have to take a few seconds to slowly ease off the grip after the set. Old age? [:o)]
