I upped my cardio to 20 min preworkout on the elliptical because I'm trying to get a little leanerCardio before workout is great! Just a 8 to 10 minute ride at a moderate level gets me pumped for my workout as well as helping getting loosened up.
Not bad but does it make you a bit tired?I upped my cardio to 20 min preworkout on the elliptical because I'm trying to get a little leaner
Na it actually gets me pumped up especially on days when I'm really not motivated to hit the gymNot bad but does it make you a bit tired?
Cool thanks bro I'm trying to push myself to 30 min on the arc trainer. Right now I'm between 20-2520-30 min intense cardio gets you tap in to your fat reserves that you wouldn't normally use in my experience. As a cyclist my stamina peaks 20 min in for over 1.5 hours on a good day after that I need fuel to kick in to second wind. For lifting after 30 min of 20+mile an hour bike at the gym I'm soaked but pumped and less injury prone![]()
Yes I'd like to get down to about 10percent body fat I'm at about 16 right nowI would say it all depends on what type of cardio you're doing, and the intensity of not only the cardio but the lifting as well. So many different factors to consider in, not to mention are you trying to burn fat from this cardio?
Separating it as in in between workouts? Ima look into HIITSeparating your cardio out allows for more of a fat burning effect rather than in conjunction with it. HIIT will definitely get you there, work your way into it though.

Cool appreciate itHands down hiit training 3 times a week got me the most shredded in my life
+1 to thisCardio fasted in the morning and weights in the evening. Plan b is weight training followed by cardio.
This is what I do as well. I can't be in the gym for 2+ hours. So I've grown accustomed to having separate lifting and cardio days.I separate them for different days completely.
To warm up for my sessions I tend to just do 2 sets of 10 on a low weight.
No problems so far.
My cardio is 2 20 min HIIT sessions a week on a bike.
Simple yet effective for me.
