Cardio pre workout or post workout

I know a lot of people like to do cardio post workout because doing cardio first is believed to deplete your energy but recently I've started doing cardio before my workout because I realized it gets me pumped up to work out. What do you guys think and what do you prefer?

Cardio before workout is great! Just a 8 to 10 minute ride at a moderate level gets me pumped for my workout as well as helping getting loosened up.

Didn't Layne Norton and many others already point out how fasted cardio is inferior cause of MPS/MPB ratio?

20-30 min intense cardio gets you tap in to your fat reserves that you wouldn't normally use in my experience. As a cyclist my stamina peaks 20 min in for over 1.5 hours on a good day after that I need fuel to kick in to second wind. For lifting after 30 min of 20+mile an hour bike at the gym I'm soaked but pumped and less injury prone :)

Cool thanks bro I'm trying to push myself to 30 min on the arc trainer. Right now I'm between 20-25

I would say it all depends on what type of cardio you're doing, and the intensity of not only the cardio but the lifting as well. So many different factors to consider in, not to mention are you trying to burn fat from this cardio?

Yes I'd like to get down to about 10percent body fat I'm at about 16 right now

I have done both before and it works either way. Pre workout does get me amped up more and awake and I feel less injury prone like someone above has stated. I really think at the end of the day it just matters whether you're doing it or not

Separating your cardio out allows for more of a fat burning effect rather than in conjunction with it. HIIT will definitely get you there, work your way into it though.

I separate them for different days completely.
To warm up for my sessions I tend to just do 2 sets of 10 on a low weight.
No problems so far.
My cardio is 2 20 min HIIT sessions a week on a bike.
Simple yet effective for me.

This is what I do as well. I can't be in the gym for 2+ hours. So I've grown accustomed to having separate lifting and cardio days.

It's a good way to prioritize other things too. Like for e.g. I like to do core work along with my cardio. Or you can do your mobility work on cardio days as well.

It becomes an active recovery day when you do it in between weight days.
