Cats

My cat budbud recently passed away. He was 14 years old. Due to my work, my folks took him in as their own many years ago, but I spent as much time with him as I could. A year and a half ago my mother passed away and he took it very hard, but he clung to my dad and slowly improved. This year my dad passed away and he slowly began to decline. In 2 weeks he wasn't eating and cried all hours of the day and night. I took him to the vet, and tried some medication...it didn't help. I took him back in and we found what we thought was a bad tooth. He ended up passing away on the operating table. The vet found a large quantity of necrotic tissue. He was more sick than we realized. He was always full of life and loved his people. He helped my heart many times and my folks hearts as well. He will be greatly missed.

Seeing your stories remind me of my deceased cat... She died last August, at 2 am, in my arms, right before school day. She was 19.

I remember this one time, I was probably around 17 or 18, I felt like absolute shit and sickly, had to go to bed... she came in my room and just chilled with me for a couple of days.

And before that, when I was around 8 or 9 years old, I remember when she first smashed. I was terrified, thinking that the other cat was hurting her... so I took a swatter and started hitting the male cat :D

Her daughter is still with me. Ever since her mom died she's become a real cunt and took over the house pretty damn fast. Her mom was always there to remind her how to behave... She's 18 :).

I'm thinking of going to the dark side and get myself a dog... pets are great friends.
