There cant be much more pressure on pro pharma than the likes of Astra Zeneca employees based in china selling and shipping products illegally or the company itself fudging numbers and shipping dockets. All of this brings a magnifying glass across all aspects of the business. Which in turn makes China look inept , they hate losing face remember .

Not being able to do what you want because you have to follow what the West dictates can also be seen as losing face.

Samaglutide patent didn't hold up in China. Tirz has no patent there. Big pharma can't do shit.

This is pure economic driven pressure on lost taxes and tariffs from small packet imports. Plus the whole fenta shenanigans
 
They are suspending incoming traffic in order to receive guidelines as to new tax collection. They will resume in a few days, but now anything new that gets shipped it will have to pay duties and taxes.

Everything will have a price increase including gear

What's the customs duty rate for Scheduled III drugs? Is the value of raws on the customs declaration supposed to be the sale amount or the street retail value of the brewed and distributed product?

I see a big learning curve ahead.
